Giga Taming

does anyone have tips for taming a giga early ingame?
my sever i play on (the centre) has an insane xp boost
im am round about lvl 35
I need a giga becouse i have an alpha rex runing around near my base
the giga hapens to be on the other side of my base
i have 2 other peeps that are ready to help me tranqu it
its lvl 10
it is also very neer a ruin next to the beach(bat island) wich i think with my pteror i can get it trapped

If you are alone, taming a giga is nearly impossible unless you happen to have a quetzal w platform saddle. But early on, don't try it, there are other options.

also i can safly trap it in a ruin
and what other options are there?
by taming the giga i get rid of the giga problem and alpha problem coz they are both very near my base

Easiest way is to build 4 small metal dino gates and a large bear trap, plus any taming supplies you will want/need. find a spot close to the giga and place 3 of the metal dino gates in a U shape, they should snap together and place the large bear trap at the center. find the giga and lead him into the bear trap and quickly use your 4th metal dino gate to close him in, from here all you need to do is shoot him with trancs and feed him once he is out. This is the best way to solo tame or even team tame a giga. Using this method I solo tamed a 140 giga before lvl 40.

BTW if you have never tamed a giga...bring a lot of narcotics...topor goes down like crazy.

If its not metal...it probably wont hold him...I've seen gigas "walk" over behe gates before while chasing things.

My patented giga trap is a three wide, four long, three tall metal enclosure, made with metal door frames and metal fence foundations. Three wide ramp on one of the ends. Coming down from the top you want three metal ramps, and then extend the outside two down to the ground.

Piss the giga off and run at the trap, through the hole in the ramp, the door frames behind it and out the other side of the trap. Giga will chase you, run up the ramp and fall into the trap. He will then be stuck to tranquilize and tame at your leisure.

Build 6 Metal Gates and 5 Ceilings and 8 Pillars and at least 9 Ramps (all metal).

3 Sides with gates, one with the ceilings and pillars, then attach ramps to the ceilings (you will need some scaffolding under the ramps to extend them far enough) so the giga can run it, but not get out.

Once it is tamed build 1 wide wooden ramp inside to get it out.

Then destroy the wodden ramps and your good to go for the next giga.

I have solo tamed multiple gigas , all you have to do is trap them using small dino gates and bear traps and then you can hit them non stop , if you have help it'll be super easy since it won't have much torpor drop with 2-3 people shooting (solo koed a 60 in less than 10 mins a few days back)
