Yet Another Chitin Farming Post

So, after days and weeks of searching, I thought I would ask here. I've been looking to find a solution as to how a tribe on my server is able to farm 10k chitin in like an hour. I'm on The Island map Official Server.

- I know you can't get that from caves as I have some amazing wolves on this server and can only get about 800 chitin on a run.

- The broodmother glitch doesn't work anymore because you go to the battle arena for it now. Also, I was told that two caves on our server are glitched so you can't get to the end. You get about halfway though and are teleported out.

- I've tried using a mosa to farm trilobites, dunkleo, and eurypterids to not get anywhere close to that.

- I see posts from last year saying to use a spino and eat trilobites, but that seems too simple that no one else on the server can figure it out.

- The Alpha tribe on the server doesn't allow gigas to be tamed by anyone but them. Does it have something to do with the gigas? I could spawn one in a single player to test out but I don't want to test it out if I can't do it on the server.

Is there any other known methods for farming tons of chitin on Official Servers?

Seriously, trilobites are everywhere. And Carbonemysdrops a lot of keratin.

Farm those 2.

well I sup[pose it depends on the map. me and my buddY can get many thousands on a single run through the lava cave on the center....everythign in there gives chitin..

first idea, get the server together and take down those alpha ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ players that are stopping you from enjoying the game, some pteras lvled in speed and damage will make work of their dinos with barrel rolls (i suggest some stamina for this as well) while being able to avoid turrets 100% if piloted right, few well placed explosives to take down their base, or a titan, and bam, have fun taming gigas which can now help you farm

Farm those 2.

I'll take a look at them and see what I can do. Turtles spawn in small numbers everywhere, and trilobites are everywhere, but only on coasts and ocean floor. Looking to find large amounts of something to kill and harvest in short periods of time.

I forgot to mention I was on The Island. I'm sure The Center has some nice ways to farm, but I'm on the regular map.

I thought about that, but I quite like the alpha tribe. Gigas and Titans are all that is offlimits. No blocking caves or resource spawns and no griefing. Raids and wipes are ok, but no hitting players over and over so they can't recover. SImple rules that have kept the server friendly and still have healthy PvP. If they were oppressive like I have heard of other alphas, then maybe. But, they're cool and the server likes them.

I'll give you a hint, they're getting it from caves. This I can promise because we do the same. However chitin is fairly useless since beaver dams are a thing, why would anyone wanna farm CP the old way???

Gigi killing scorps on half burn island = 10k+ per hr if you have someone coming in with a bird to take the loot away

Because one of the members has been selling me 10k per day the last few weeks. They may have just tons of it laying around and selling me small amounts here and there, but why go through all the trouble of telling me you're going farming and an hour or so later message me saying you have 10k or 15k or whatever?

I still hit up beaver dams, but sometimes other people are farming them. Also, we have some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on the server that take the CP and leave everything else to screw ovwe anyone else farming. I doubt it is from caves as I can run a cave and get 800 from it, but it takes like 30 minutes to respawn. So, unless they are running every cave on the island twice, I highly doubt that is happening. Especially with a few caves glitched where you can't get far in them and some too dangerous to bring dinos in.

I don't know what half burn island is. I just looked it up and it is on The Center. So, not helpful to me. Thanks anyway.

swamp cave i get about 4700 a run

use a frog and eat bugs for CP/chitin. Only takes a run through the swamp to get 10k in about 30 minutes

I assume you are doing that on foot as the new caves can't have dinos in them. Also, are you on an official server? Increased resource gathering? Do you have ascendant gear or what? I mean if you have like god teir stuff, it's a waste for me as I'm not on that level. High resource gathering is moot as well as I'm on official.

I have a feeling you're on a resource boosted server because even our best frogs in the swap can't get close to that. Though I'll spawn in stuff in single player to see what I could get with some super frog.

its a 3x resource server-good catch. However-its still reasonable to get quite a bit with a frog. We usually go out in pairs, one on a frog the other on either a beaver or a wolf (depending on what other resource we are going for).
