What's up with Brontos?
So I was working on something in my house, and I see a message saying my Trike has been killed by a bronto. Followed quickly by every other dino I had outside. I head out to take a look, and the bronto is stomping on my small heard of dinosaurs.

It then ran at me, tried to stomp me, and turned my house, all my storage, and all my crafting equipment into splinters. And my sister, who's charicter was unconcious in the structure, lost about half her health.

I've done a little looking around, and the thing i've seen suggested as a potential cause for this issue is carnavores set on agressive...but the only carnavore I had was locked in a pen when this entire fiasco started.

So, any other reasons this bronto might would decide to turn predator?

It ran into spikes? You had turrets? It got attacked by a wild animal, punched it, also hit your animals, they attacked it and it retaliated.

No spikes, no turrets, but that last one's possible.

Something must have aggroed it. The bronto wouldn't attack you for no reason.
you walls need to be really high to keep a bronto out (i guess at least 3 high, better 4).
Maybe he ran in, got attacked by your dino and the rest was just self defense =)

i think it is more that something attacked the bronto, carno or something that just so happen to take a nip, bronto started wacking, carno/animal goes flying a bit towards ur base, bronto keeps attack, hits one of ur dinos, everyone attacks and that is how it may have gone down

It's possible that some stupid raptors attacked the bronto and his tail hit one of your dinos and they started attacking because they were on neutral and the whole chaos began.

Or when the bronto is running it autoattacks everything near its feet.

With exception of a fresh character with no ability to take them down at that stage (this said i have done it) i kill brontos on sight lmao

Bronto = KOS

Yeah, for this reason, I always train large dinos away from my base. When they start getting to close to my base, I will use a slingshot or something to aggro them far away, if I can, over a cliff if available. Or like Shane said, KOS, but even then drag them a little ways away from your base first. Those Bronto AOEs are huge.
