Allosaurus
What's wrong with their spawn? Keep spawning in my house and destroying stuff. That's really annoying.

245.988, Allosaurus pack spawned inside my dino pen, killed all but one of my dinos and happened to destroy boxes storing my high-end tech. Very frustrating.

Time to build a base on pillars. Then again there was one guy who got killed by an Allo while he was on his boat when he was offline.

We've had allos spawning on our 5th floor of our main base, in our bird pen so I don't think building on pillars will help anyone, what does help is having a base outside of their spawn or simply just being extremely lucky. We had few incidents when they spawned inside of our metal buildings and so far we lost more stuff from allos than from anything else in this game and since our base is huge and been on same spot for almost a year now there is no way we are gonna move. At this moment I can just hope that we won't lose more and that devs will do something about it soon.
Rezonus 2016 年 8 月 21 日 上午 2:59
It's like they were accidently set to spawn on certain objects. Foundations should be blocking them from spawning in.

When I have watched tutorial videos for the Dev Kit, and they discuss spawn volumes... the dinos spawn mostly at random over a wide area. I have seen videos showing spawns of 20 to 40 dodos as the example and they are scattered individually over quite a large spawn area.
However, when I see dinos spawn in as I fly, they are usually in twos and threes in a tight group and immediately begin separating. It seems easy to spot fresh spawn groups of 2-3 as opposed to previously existing dinos rendering in one at a time at an greater distance. Fresh spawns pop in a couple of seconds later... Direbears in twos, turtles in threes, rexes in twos, etc.
It is like Ark doesn't use the wide area spawn volume system for all dinos, but instead uses a "always spawn at these coordinates" coding for some dinos. Allos are a good example. I have a base at The Maw, so I fly the river along the North side of the Redwoods. There is a Allo spawn half way along the Redwoods. I regularly have seen three Allos spawn in at the same spot every time. 8 to 10 times so far. My assumption is either they are coded to ALWAYS spawn at that specific spot, or the spawn volume for those Allos is 5 feet by 5 feet. Same difference. If your base is at those coordinates... so are the Allos. Sucks to be you. Have you considered moving?

There are several location examples of this where big globs of multiple species spawn in on top of each other... beach at west shore of the redwoods, the tip of the large flat beach on the west coast where the winter biome starts.. Stegos, Scorpions and Sabers all spawn in one clump and immediately start fighting... evey single time I go there.

Notice how these areas all seem to be large flat areas... areas that need a lot of dinos, yet they don't spawn scattered around the beach, instead they spawn at the exact same spot every time all right on top of each other... what happened to spawn "volumes" I don't see any volume, just specific points.

But the one dude reported that they spawned inside his base that was built on a raft that was parked far offshore. Something different is going on with Allos.

Same happened to me, twice. Ilost 5 boxes so far. I've put xplants everywhere to try to stop them.

Ok I understand that it's a glitch right now that Allo's have spawned inside some bases. But my god, how weak are your bases. I've had T-Rexes end up in my base and my Dino's just kill it. Don't you have any protection in your bases. There's nothing except for maybe a Giga or Titan that could spawn in my base and survive for more than a few minutes at the most once they aggro my herd. If an allosaurus can wipe out all of your stuff then you are doing something wrong.

As for example keeping the egg dinos in pasive because it's a PVE server? What's wrong in that exactly?
Arachnade 2016 年 8 月 24 日 下午 1:50
server prob needs a wipe before their "fix" fixes the broken dinos.

Yep some of my herd are on Passive because they are egg layers, or I don't want them to move, or just not good fighters. But the majority of the group are able to attack. Plus I have a fairly large group of Compy's and Dimorph's that are on aggressive that attack anything that enters and they keep most things clear of the larger group. I also have scorpions, wolves, sabers, and a band of Allo's that wipe most things out before the larger dinos like the rex's or the giga even has to get involved.

Plant turrets, decent dinos and creative building are a good way to combat the issue til fixed but unfortunately not usually before the allos take out all wooden structures with their bleed/area damage. Fridges count as wood, cookers count as wood, not to mention you can't put your jerky in a vault.

The other issue is newer players learning the game and building. They can build a stone fence around their structure but not much helps them get going again when the allos spawn inside. I've watched players come and go the last few weeks mostly do to this more than establlished players just rebuilding portions of what they lost.

Some are joking this must be intended since the devs have been utterly and frustratingly silent like it's not happening.... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
