Fish that require certain baits, so far i figured out

Sabertooth salmon and Pirahnas = Leech blood

coel = Tree sap

anyone think we can catch sharks later on? or they allow us to build a fishing boat

I've caught Coel on Leech blood, haven't had a chance to gather any sap yet.

this thinks is sick. in 3 hrs i got red compownd bow, assault rifle, random saddles. yellow fur armor and i just got a red fish rod so prolly more insane stuff ahead.. all of those bluprint... HELP!

in about 3-4 hours of fishing, I got about 200 bps, none less than apprentice quality, and about 20-30 different ascendent bps :)
Coels, salmon, and piranha's all are caught using leech blood
tree sap is only good for catching coels.

So if you use leech blood, you can catch anything that's in the water, if you use treesap, you'll only catch the coels.

Fishing is really good in Ark, once you figure it out. Main thing, if you see a fish, you can catch it, if you see no fish at all in the area, you won't catch any. You see a big fish, you can catch him, and see him circle your bait and bite your hook, once you catch him, he's gone. Isn't like minecraft where you catch imaginary fish. But, in a small way similar, in that once you cast your line, is a random time and then whatever is nearby will get hooked. Just takes patience, but if there is a fish nearby, within 5 minutes, you will catch it.
