The center of "The Center" and disappearing dinos
Just want to confirm and warn everyone that there is DEFINITELY some kind of black hole going on, in "The Center" map, at "The Center" area, directly above the beaver pond, where the waterfall is, and you can go through the waterfall into a cave. I just lost a Quetz, a ptera, anklyo, doed and beaver all at one time!!! It happened once before to one of my ptera's; I chalked it up as a glitch.

What happened was I was in the cave building, and my ORP#1 warned of someone at my other base. I went into my metal safe house, used the bed, ported to my other base to check things out - everything was fine.

Within 1 minute, I used a bed to go back to the cave and ALL MY DINOS except 1 a Carno all disappeared.

Pet finder, like the first time I lost a ptera, shows NOTHING. I searched everywhere around - NOTHING.

That cave is the Bermuda Triangle. You've been warned!

You built a base in the center itself on the center map, wow, this bermuda triangle aside, that's a really gutsy move. That place is really full of nasty stuff. I hardly even dare to fly over there some times.

This happens on The Island too. Some kind of Quetzal wormhole. If the quetz platforms had turrets, you'd get shot by them in that spot where the nodes are. It's a really bizarre "bug".

Also dinos disappear constantly on The Center (and The Island, but seemingly slightly more so on The Center), and are less recoverable than on The Island. It's a bug that needs to be pushed onto the devs to fix, as it's seemingly getting worse with every major patch. Quetzals, mosas, babies, you name it.

I hope those were fixed with last update to the map. It's an amazing map but to lose pets you've spent literally hours acquiring makes it not worth it.

I've actually never had a dino disappear on The Island, just The Center. Really sucks, because its an amazing map.

I had 2 people quit yesterday, due to 50% of thier dinos disappearing over a 2 day period in the new redwood biome.. total *sadface*. They had JUST moved there because they loved the area.. now they are totally burnt on the map. It was bad enough to lose a few every once in a while (read: mostly quetzls.. had 2 side by side indoors go poof one day).. but to lose so many.. they were POd.

I lost a quetz and a ptera in the cave near the water (center of the redwood island).
I gave up building in teh redwoods after that.

I've also had other players report vanishing dinos in the redwoods. It seems if you park them on foundations they are ok, only when on the ground they vanish.

died of starvation dont blame others
There is lots of teleports around on the Center... ie.
There is teleports in both lava island caves... just as you picked up the inner artifact ( in the big one, take first to the right and pick that one up, then pick up the second one ( go firther in between the pillars, pick up the lootcrate, and towards the wall, straight up you get teleported above the cave. Same on the small Lava cave... get the first one to the right, then jump over all the small ledges and grab teh second on the left, grapple up/fly up in the roof with all the spikes, and poof, you are above the island again.
In the jungle, where the entrance of the old reward cave is, that tunnel that goes there, you can go up in the roof, and get teleported above ground again... careful though .. this one will teleport you pretty high, so unless you are on a flyer or have parachute, you will die when landing..

That's just a few...

There is several teleports in the Redwoods, on the floating island .. in both the snow caves...

On two different Center servers i've lost about 15 argents. 3 different times with packs of about 4-6 each.

I built a base on the very top of the floating island, above where the water comes out by a bunch of metal nodes and flows down eventually into the beaver pond. I never lost a tame that was in my base.

If you follow the river backwards up the ramp to the beaver pond, then turn right and follow that ramp up and around to the top level of the floating island, that ramp leading up above the beaver pond where no npc's are usually found (the "tunnel" part of the ramp before it opens up to sky above again) that tunnel i have lost at least 10 argents in.

First time was with 4 on autofollow to ME, i dismounted and waited for admin to do server reset. logged back on and all birds gone , no npcs in immediate area (they don't seem to spawn in that tunnel anyway, which is why i considered it "safe").

Second time on the same ramp, different server, I parked 6 argents. Landed my passive mount (who was not following anyone), and other 5 flying on neutral all following passive bird. I ran down the ramp to tranq a 150 argent that was at the first turn of the ramp above the beaver pond (where the "window" looks out over the world), gone no more than 30 seconds. I run back up the ramp and all 6 birds are gone. Admin immediately came and investigated, turned up nothing.

I had transponders on ALL birds lost and transponder only shows the tames still at my base on the same frequency as the birds that were just lost. I don't even go the the floater anymore. it's too risky and random and permanent. You've been warned.

I've lost a bear in the same spot to being disconnected while up there. Was a great blow.
