Alarm Trip Wire
I really like the idea of having an alarm system in the game, however, I find it lacking. For example, I set a number of these trip wires around my base in places where I think people could sneak up from. When the alarm is triggered I get a message and hear the bell going off. The downside is I don't know whether a player or a dino has tripped my alarm. I also get a message of the general location of where the wire was tripped. So, not only do I not know who or what tripped my alarm, but I don't know where exactly they are.

I think adding the feature of being able to name our alarms so we know which one was tripped and to also be notified if it was tripped by a dino or a player. Maybe the message could read out like: "Alarm "Bushes behind base" was tripped by Phiomia" or something like that. I would think this would gain more usage from them.

What do you guys think? Would this add to the game or do you think it'd be overused?

What if there was an option to disable an alarm that wasn't your own if found?

Trip wires are useless because if alarm is destroyed you don't get any message.

Its so ARKish. Addig features that's good in theory just half working in the game. Yea its easily destroyable and when its triggered you dont know any specific info from it.

I've never set up alarms around a camp in real life, but what is in the game currently sounds pretty realistic to me. If you want a totally fake computer game experience with total hand-holding, that might be appropriate for a really high tech tier item, but a simple trip-wire alarm shouldn't tell you which tribe someone is from and what color they painted their pike. You heard a rattle. Go check it out. Or don't. Maybe its a dino. Maybe not. How is a simple trip wire rattlebox supposed to tell one from the other? If you want something higher tech, there is a video surveilance mod.

best thing you can do is put one on the inside of your door to your base, and name it somthing that well get your attention, a dodo works really well if some one c4s in for they kill the dodo and now you have a player name who placed the killed it.

Last c4 wil destroy it, and you won't get any alert.

Maybe in middle of hallway but then it's too visible.
