can someone recommend a flat area to build on?

im trying to find a spot in the game where i can actually build a cube type building, without always having those height problems... its pretty annoying to find a spot, any idea?

like 10x10 or 12x12.

Well you most likely need to build on pillars if u wanna avoid height problems.
start by placing 1 pillar at the heighest point and build down from there.
Use ceilings on pillars to make a flat surface.

cant build on pillars, egg dropping is extremely bugged when building on pillars with ceilings, need to build an eggfarm on foundations basically ( like a cube house ) and remove some foundations inside the building then where i place the egg laying dino's at least thats what i tried and saw in a video, cant find those spots tho.

i know som eggs drop through the ceiling but i want to avoid that, because sometimes it seems as if they dont drop at all or dont lay eggs at all at some positions inside that dino pen with pillars + ceiling. (and its those kinda dinos that usually should drop a lot of eggs, like dodos kairukus and dilos)

well no ♥♥♥♥... sherlock. but i cant seem to build on some of them at least not what im looking for and im definetely not flying all around the map, i wanted it somewhere near the ice biome northeast.

I dont know how to do it otherwise then to find a good spot :). I mostly take a egg run underneath it as well so. but good luck with it.

57 23 is the largest flat spot on the map. Your looking at over 25 x 25 if you start it correctly. (always use thatch first, that way if you place your first one to high or to low or not at the right angle you can go back and destroy and replace).

Central north beach - used to be on the edge of the snow biome - pretty well due north of volcano - in front of a waterfall, can't miss it. Intitially has rocks/trees but they can be cleared.

It's a long flat spit that is easy to defend against creatures and has excellent access to oil, metal, pearls etc....

You can go big if you get the foundation height right.

checked it, yeah it was a nice place, thats also where i build before on some official servers.
but now that its in the snow biome its a bit punishing to build there, its ok with 40 fortitude and fur armor, but doesn't feel worth it, cause the area is kind of exposed to rafts with cannons and catapults.

Huh? You said in post #3.

i wanted it somewhere near the ice biome northeast.

And apart from a place near a small pond in the north east (almost due north of Hidden lake) this is probably the flattest spot in the snow.

Nor did you say for PvP either. That would have been, like, important.

doesnt matter if its close to water that much imo, but i wanted it north east, NEAR the snow biome. its ok if im exposed at water, i just mentioned it that i dislike it and look for options. if it has to be close to water i dont mind, then i will need to think about something, but it has to be somewhere north east ,next to snow biome ( / near )
