Server Hosting Question

I'm not terrible tech savvy, but I want to host my own ark server. I tried ti before but the technical aspect overwhelmed me and I gave up. Is there a server hosting company out there that will set it all up for me? Mods, settings, etc? I just want to press PAY NOW and have the server I want up and running without me having to do more than simply update it and advertise for it.

If price is no obstacle, i'm sure someone will 'service' it for you, set it up and give ongoing technical support. You'll have to pay them.

Otherwise, you are going to need to learn how to do it and maintain it. as there is continual headaches with maintaining a server through ark updates, mod changes.

You need to know how to modify config files to setup your own rules for the server. Some providers like host havoc (and others as well) provide an interface where you dont have to modify config files directly. But you need to know how to add and manage mods and update command line parameters etc., no server hosting service will do it for you.

but the easiest way is just to enable ark remote on the server, and use ark server launcher which makes it so a 5 year old could configure the server

one company thats not on that list is bisect hosting, i started renting before i found them but i use them to host other servers for games i play, really reliable

if you pay a little extra a month (atleast for the server im using) they will make all adjustments for you, mods, map changes, setting, everything

I respect you want to host your own server, but if you are not "tech savvy" as you ssay, that could be manipulated and may end up with service hosters milking you for profit. There are some "Admin panels" out there to help with hosting, but do beware....server hosting will come with stress either if some1 is looking after it for you or you are trying to look after it, your idea of perfect and some1 elses idea of perfect will more than likely be different. do you really want to spend your day to and froing with tech supp to change every setting? I am presuming the reasoning behind you wanting to host your own server is the bad experience you have had with other servers. would i be correct???

Try ark server manager first, just run it off your computer to get the feel of running server
