Packs of Dimorph OP ?

I would say yes, dont really use em too much in SP but i get the feeling these things could be OP in PvP servers easily. Even in SP mode a pack of these things take down a very high level stat dino like i eat chocolate.

They are very strong, but only after leveled. They go straight for person and destroys the flak. In the right situation they can be devastating. That being said, they are slow and die in droves vs bronto and gigas. I don't generally recommend them for pvp. I've personally never seen a successful attack using dimos, although im sure someone else has.

i lose argentavis to a pack of them, but to be fair a dinosaur without a rider fights very poorly if you ask me generally speaking. beyond that as said not had to much experience with them, but in that video they looked like a bigger problem.

He plays on a private server that does not play by official standards. But regardless sure if you pen a wild weak dino in the same container as 1/2 dozen high level dimorphs the dimorphs win. Now place 6 direwolves in the same container and you will see that solo dino die a lot faster.

Oh and PS. I love Slip's videos. He is a crack up and has a great attitude. If you have not seen his game play vids you are missing out on some serious luls. Heavy props to the Gator from Florida!

No, Dimorphs have weak HP, no one uses them for actual PVP. . . they're annoying yes, but with Gigas and Quetzals they're nothing.

its just a bonus defense if u leave a group of dimorphodons inside your base( guarding the vaults and smithy). YES! they cant win against a flying monster like Quetz and will die in 1 or 2 bites from a rex/giga, but imagine 10-20 of those things flying around inside a small room atacking you. u will lose your armor and will try to run, thus if u cant run u will die

i think tame dimo, goes for the player before the dino, read the dino dossier:

so a pack of 10+ is deadly.
have them on attack my target, and snip/shoot/attack a player the dead meat, the have high dmg and attack speed but a weak in health.
in general, the good for tactical reason, but if you just a headless pvper, you dont need them.

i never really tame a pack like.....20 of them, but i always use them for start right after lvl 10 when you get bola - they help a lot.
Truth is, they have small hp (also quite slow) and any dino with decent aoe will destroy them very quickly...some larger dinos with big/slow turn may have a hard time vs them though

A pack of anything is OP man. Get an equivalent number of rexes, dilos, heck, probably even paras and you could swarm anything.

High melee damage Ptera can kill lot of them using barrel roll.

Rex's AOE will kill them all easily, Secondly in a base they're useless since a shotgun would destroy them, just keep apes in your base thats what we do Apes + dilos (So they cant see)

An argy with a pack of dimos is like a bomber with fighter support. I specd mine for speed to keep up with argy an all rest in damage. Worked OK but yes they're are counter measures.
