can't track my doedicurus with transponder, HELP!!!

so i have a lvl 215 doedicurus, i put a transponder thingy on his butt, and i have this tracker, i let him wander off next to my base close to a mountain. now i come back online 2 hours later.
i click everywhere next to the mountain and next to my base, but i cant seem to find him, my log doesnt say that he died....

does this thing have a maxrange? its superstupid, i cant see him on the map either... how do i find him now? is it lost? omfg im supermad.

also its they made it so bad, cant even click this transponder tracker on a flying mount... always have to dismount what a stupid hassle.

worst case scenario for private servers, is there a way to get him back like porting him back or porting to him?

or maybe is it a bug, and it doesnt work to find him after i log back on?

yes it does have a max range, and if your dinos has vanished then it will never show up, did you leave it by a rock (very close or on one) because you lose dinos that way.

we had several doedis vanish while on roaming. We had a dimorph following it (as a bodyguard). We found the dimorph sitting on the ground, but its setting was NOT on following when we looked (but it was when we flew off). We were on the server but out of rendering range.

The game does have a bug where if your away from your dino for too long that it deletes the dino from the game, however this is more common on the center map so it may not be the issue here, its something to do with the loading and unloading of areas. The most common animals that are deleted are doeds and ankys. I've lost 5 of them so far on the center, when I come back to them I find a bag where it was with its saddle in it with a timer that starts at the exact time when I come near it.

The gps trackers dont work for everyone all of the time too (takes me 3-4 button presses to see the dinos in my own base sometimes), you may have to let some other tribe member use it or even another player not in your tribe to see if they can see it.

k i found out what the problem was, apparently i put a transponder node on the doedicurus, but i dont know what the FREQUENCYNUMBER was , anyone know the default first number he uses?

if you press N on the transponder tracker, its always 70 by by default, every time u log in its on frequency 70, im not sure what the number was tho 0-9999 when i put the transponder node on my doedicurus, so its basically lost or i can try a few times. LOL. a bit stupid but k.

anyways i pressed N, put the frequency on 1 , threw a transponder node on my new doedis butt , went offline for 2 hours again , pressed n, checked it was 70 , put it to 1 , rightclicked beep beep beep , and then i found my new one :).

still cant find my lost one, so forever lost, i dont know, maybe hes somewhere close on that mountain i dont think they roam into 1 direction and get lost. im not sure.

we decided not to put any high level doedis on wander, only lower level ones. that way if they disappear, it is not a big deal. we did lose 2 that were in our base (NOT on wander). We are playing on Valhalla map.

i tried this one , installed it 3 times on my g-portal server, it didn't seem to work, so i gave up.
anyways i figured out the tracker now, so its fine.

Yeah, never going to put the doed on wander. It's worth the extra 20 minutes of manually using it to farm stone, compared to the 2 hours + prep work to tame another.
