How to find diseased leeches?? (Sparklers)

After hours of searching, my tribe has finally found one diseased leech... Which we ate without getting any sparkler loot. (Do you need to actualy access inventory loot it?)

With how many hours we've put into searching, and how many hours we've heard other tribes have been searching in vain, nobody has obtained a single sparkler yet.

So I'm wondering... Is there some secret to finding diseased leeches? We've had to have killed over a hundred leeches by now (we have faaar over 100 leech blood. Official server rates) but we've only found and killed one Diseased Leech after all these hours.

Are we missing something, or are they really just that rare?

Also, does anyone know if the drop rate is not 100%, or if you just have to manually press E on the corpse to loot the skin?

when u kill the D leech u need to take it from there inventory like rino horns

Use a Direwolf to kill and eat the leech.

You guys must just be unlucky. The first time I went looking, the very first leech I found was diseased and had a sparkler. Since that first find, I would say every 1 in 10 leeches is diseased
