Anything said on Dilo "turret mode"?
It's been a while, but I don't remember if anything official has been said on giving Dilos "turret mode". I can't find any official word on it with searches either, so I'm wondering if someone here remembers.

By "turret mode" I mean the setting Arthroplueras get that stops them from moving, but allows them to still turn and spit.

I know a lot of people think this would be useless, but for starting tribes it would surely help them defend against other smaller tribes. Otherwise, Dilos are just cannonfodder who run in to die.
Also, for tribes who already have turrets, they'd still give the Dilos we already have a nice job. Our old buddies can supply a liiittle more firepower.

Lastly, I'm wondering if encumbering them with stones would allow this, or if it would stop them from turning / be glitchy.
Thanks ahead of time for any info!

iv tried your rock overweight idea, its a no go they cant turn fast enough to hit any thing that isnt running straight at their face
but it was a nice idea
Actually silos are very good for slowing down enemy Dinos and I use them a lot of SoTF on enemy Dinos and players just so they can't run away or see

I'm not denying their usefulness for SoTF, nor official game servers at all.

I'm just wondering if they are supposed to get turret-mode or not, and if not, I suggest they do!

Turret mode seems a lot more useful for Dilos than the Arthropluera for two main reasons:
1. By the time a tribe is able to tame the Arthro, they will likely already have turrets. On the other hand, Dilos are early tamed and turret mode will still allow them to be viable for early-level defense, which is when a "turret mode" creature would actualy be most useful.
2. Dilos are small, narrow, and their head is slightly raised from the ground. This allows them to be placed easier, in more compact spaces, and fire from where they're placed with MUCH more of a range than the Arthro.
(Seriously, try setting up an Arthro in a spot to shoot in turret mode. It's a nightmare, and near useless unless they're shooting UP at something.)

That's too bad encumbering them doesn't work, but I was expecting that turning issue :( thanks for testing it!
