Oil / Crystal spawns in the Snow Biome?

Did they cut oil and crystal spawns in this biome? Or is it just a bug that they do not spawn in the spots they used to. There used to be an Iceberg just outside of (26, 17) that had oil and crystal spawns on it, now they are not there anymore. Also, i've noticed that they're not in a lot of other places as well.

Did find places where they are still are? I did not find any oil in the snow biome.

There is still some oil in the snow near the cave to the north east, right at the edge as it has always been. And like one or two of the icebergs still have oil on them. They did take a lot of them out though.

They seem to have cut them from the western side of the snow biome, I can still find them along the northern shore and some of the icebergs along there.

Crystal spawns have also vanished from the volcano as well.

I'm glad I am not the only one who noticed this. Oil and crystal was my main source of income (as I would sell it since i'm the only one on my server who actually lives in the tundra). I'm in no way complaining, I just thought I was going crazy because nobody in my server would talk about the missing oil and crystal.

It seems to be an intentional decision too, since there has been multiple hotfixes with the oil and crystal spawns are the same

I've noticed Penguins are now an endangered species also - granted someone has pillared some of the islands on our server, but a full lap of snow biome now supplies me with 2 maybe 3 penguins and despite the pillars I'd have easily expected double digits without having to scavenge through the main land for straggler penguins.

I've been seeing less nodes on the outskirts of the snow biome but the crystal ones that are about look bigger to me?
I think the devs are making us work a little more for our oil and crystal.
or they want to push us into there new biome to check out the developments.
as for penguins i thought there were more inland as well.

Penguins are definitely endangered now. I'm almost certain that this is an intentional move. I guess they do really want us to work harder for oil, crystal and org polymer.
