If you need wild levels - you can just summon one with any level you need.
I'm trying not to fully break the rules but rather bend them a little... I've been hunting for a high level quetz for days now (~18 hours of play time) and I keep coming up with low levels if I find any at all. I've given up and decided I'm going to cheat a little, but I don't want to fully break the rules and spawn a whole new one in, instead I was hoping to bump one of the ones I found up to a desirable level, if that makes any sense.
If there is no option, I may spawn one, but doing that feels like a solid step onto a slipperly slope...
cheat addexperience 200 0 1
change the 200 to what ever exp you want
will give exp to the dino
This is for a wild dino pre-tame, not a tamed dino.
No cheat to add to wild dinos aside from spawning it in with X levels
and if u already looking for a way to cheat then u are already on that slippery slope so as said above just spawn yourself a high level one and in tame it.
Is no difference at all.
You've got a point there... I resisted using destroywilddinos because it felt like cheating and then one day I gave up and used it, now I use it all the time rather than putting in real effort into grinding through dinos to get better ones to spawn. I'll probably not cheat in this case, as its only going to get worse going foreward.
LOL! That was a good one!!
Laughter in the morning is a great medicine for the good start to a day.
just summon one the level you want, or be patient.
Cheating most definitely comes in shades. There is a huge difference, for example, between cheating for knowledge by looking up where to find a resource on the wiki and cheating by simply spawning an amount of that resource into your inventory. The problem is that in a single player game, the only thing your doing is cheating yourself out of the experience. In some cases, this might not feel horrible, as scouring the map for hours looking for a difficult to find resource or item might test your patience, while in others, you've completely bypassed a core component of the game. The problem I face is that I have completely ruined games for myself in the past by cheating through core content (specifically using a save editor to edit guns in borderlands 1/2 rather than hunting for them the traditional way... the end game is about farming for guns after a point and so no farming = no game) and I want to avoid a repeat, hence my desire to bend but not break the rules.
would be the easiest way to go if you're admin ;-)
