That would mean Instant Death if certain dino's attacked you.

Probably not a good idea.

We already do. I got attacked by a rex while on a raptor and it damaged both me and my mount.

i am not saying 100 percent damage. but right now , not only doesnt it make sense but its also lame to be invincible the second you are mounted...
I think thats a bad idea personally. We'd need great armor/power levelled HP to be able to stand against any remotely large creature. And if we die, our mount could end up dying to. I think it'd make things unnescesarrily frustrating.

well the game doesnt feel like a survival one once you get a decent mount ... also, imagine when they add dino armor
You can get killed from the back of a mount, just it depends on what's attacking you and how big your mount is. A horde of Arthropleura killed me from the back of my Castroides when I went to clear out a cave, although I was avenged. I've taken damage from Orycs while on the back of a Pteranodon, too.

Dimorphs also attack the rider.

Alpha's used to hit the rider as well as the mount. It was a TERRIBLE idea.

Riders do take damage, though hitboxes may be finnicky.

i doubt that

I have experienced this while riding a ptera being attacked by dragonflies and another time on an arget being attacked by an angry mother ptera.

Is this a joke, or have you not played the game much?

Riders are far from invincible on the back of a Dino. Best way to make a ridden Dino useless is to shoot the rider off with a long range weapon, or yank him off with a flyer.

I can understand asking to balance combat , but you should know how it works before asking for changes to be made.
