Unofficial servers tend to advertise wipes thinking that its a good thing. Most wisely dont touch unofficial servers that advertise wipes because no telling when the next one will be and all you did will be lost.
If i put wipe in my sever title - my server will be full within hours
People beg for fresh wipes and with ark being ark - wipes are needed because with each new patch, certain problems occur.
Longest ive had my server up with out a wipe is short of 3 months - now thats not bad going. If you think your dinos are here forever - then think again. Its not going to happen, till Ark is optomised and admin get better tools to clear servers etc of crap.
If officials do not ever wipe then they must be one big lag feast.
Glad ive never played on one
But would i give it up to play basic ark on vanilla
Never
How are those servers generally, would you consider them suitable for newbies in terms that will there (probably, since one can't be sure) be gangs of veteran players or trolls that just like to make your gaming experience as unpleasurable as possible? Or will you be able to build your little hut and fight mainly dinosaurs, without being KoS'ed all the time?
