Long Loading times
I will just go ahead and say I am aware that this topic has been made apparent in the past, and many people have the same issues. However most of the time, the people experiencing this issue have a low end PC, I do not.

My problem is that loading the game takes a long, long time. To get to the title screen it takes less than a minute, but entering a single player map will take upwards of 30-35 mins which is crazy. I have also been having serious performance issues near and in the swamps of the center map as well as performance issues overall.

My rig is as follows:
GPU - NVIDIA GeForce GTX970
CPU - AMD FX(tm)-4170 Quad Core - 4.2ghz
Memory - 16.00 GB RAM
OS - Windows 10

Any help would be appreciated.

The game isnt optimized yet in these regards. 16 ram and a 970 while able to play the basics of the game nicely does still require a work horse amount of computation that makes that rig slow down.

Are you using mods? That also can wreak havoc on load times unfortunately.

Yeah, I am using quite a few. Although the only one I could imagine causing a massive issue is Annunaki Genesis, and I would not be prepared to get rid of that.

Long loading times are caused by HDD. I use to have one and it caused me to wait up to 2 minutes on my setup(you can view my profile for specs) before it went in the game. After I got myself an SSD it is super fast. Like 20 seconds or less to get into the game.

Unfortunately, I dont have the money to get an SSD, plus the game has only been like this for a few months, it was never like this on release. I would not see it correct to have to pay a lot of money for an SSD, just to run a somewhat poorly optimised game...

use the command -high and -useallavailablecores to reduce the loading lags. the source would be your slow cpu and probably your hdd.

Well that is the only way to make it faster now sadly that I know of. Well I am happy with my SSD. Compared to HDD it is really a good upgrade if you hate waiting on loading times on games or slow pc boot up. Good luck and I hope you find an other solution.

I will list the things I have already done to try and resolve this here.
I have already used the -useallavailablecores command
I have tried freeing up space on my HDD
Have tried getting rid of some mods and running compatability checks
Have also tried fiddling with graphics settings for a long time to no avail.

That's the reason then. I play on 1 annunaki and heavily modded server. I usually play spider solataire while it loads. If I plan non modded servers the wait is miniscule.

Something else to be aware of, the annunaki genesis makers are slowing updates for the mod because they're working(slowly too) on a replacement to be called Annunaki(no genesis in the name). While they say they have no plans to abandon the current mod, the fact they're working on a different/better one and slowing down alot the updates to AG is a good indicator that its going to eventually be replaced by owners for their servers. That means to replace with the new Annunaki once it gets going is a server wipe(as they said the two arent compatible).

honestly i'd love to see more optimization on the loading of mods when entering a server as this can steer away some players from playing on modded servers thinking that the game freezes as there is no visual feedback of how much of the mods are loaded etc.. so even some kind of progress bar for loading mods would be nice.

I am aware of Annunaki Genesis' dev's plans for their updates. I could try loading up a normal server and seeing how long the wait time is, perhaps that might allow me to see if it really is mods causing the issue.

According to the annunaki genisis makers, the mod has reached a point where things they want to change cant be because of the architecture prevents it and other issues. Its not a stretch to imagine that a symptom of their issues is with the insane load times.

Go to a straight up vanilla server with a low ping to you then. The annunaki server I play on is less than 50ping to me and takes forever to load. A server half way across the planet from me that I play on with over 200 ping but vanilla settings takes me just a min or two.

But even a vanilla single player will more loading time for me than the 200+ping server.

I have removed all the mods and ran a map I dont play on. That would confirm it's the mods, since the load time was cut by 98%. I will try testing some more however, as this could be a problem with a mod other than Annunaki.

Nevermind, the mods have nothing to do with it. The loading is still 30 mins without mods on the vanilla map.
