Dino Sounds Overwhelming (Insanity Inducing)
As anyone with an even a small egg farm would agree, the sounds overwhelm the game at base. We have enough now to where nothing but idle dino sounds play and it makes you just want to mute the game.

If anything can we get a setting that gets rid of idle dino sounds and keeps actual sounds during use?

*Sadly ark needs to be on mute, can't hear anyone on steam otherwise*

You chose to live in the middle of a zoo, having 100ish creatures in a small location isn't a quiet affair.
Simple solution that doesn't involve devs wasting time: move your house away from your zoo.

What an odd response given that in a recent patch the idle sounds were amplified to the point where all that can be heard if you're anywhere even near one of your dinos at your base is the constant cycle of eating, wouldn't be so bad if it was actually timed to the animation or even better would be timed to the consumption of food.
Given that the game is in development what would you prefer, wait until release to provide feedback, provide positive input or don't bother.

Up and Agreed ^^^

Also moving it isn't a viable option. They don't make eggs in stasis, and it is also easier to have eggs in trafficked areas so they get picked up more often.

Did... you just +1 your own post? twice?

I do see the OP's point. For example, I don't tame raptors any more because the constant racket off them when you ride one and have a few others on follow is so irritating. Mind you, i made my dodo barn 3 or 4 foundations away so I don't hear them. :)

I do believe the bump rule is 4 hours. Not sure what you're adding to the conversation.

I may move the raptors at the very least. They are directly above and while the idle sounds were always annoying it's way worse than I've ever heard. Guessing it's them.

turn your sound off. that will fix it.
PPhlox Jun 11, 2016 @ 5:11am
simple. building and running fabricators everywhere will drown out the dino sounds.

Sound is off. Pretty game breaking fix lol =P

Stop making excuses for their absolutely horrible audio positioning. When a dodo is walking around the player, you should be able to tell which direction it is with a quality pair of headphones on yet for some reason i hear the dodo out of both sides at the same volume like i'm listening to a mono source.

A perfect example of this garbage audio work is how noises don't decrease in volume if there is a wall, rock, or other object in the way. My buddy has an elevator in his public forge building which is located outside the volcano, just below the rim, and while i'm INSIDE the volcano getting metal, i hear that elevator like its right on top of me.

The elevator is the most aggregious of all. It is full volume regardless of where you are if you are within render distance.

+1, slider for dino-sounds or lower noise of dino idle-sounds
