Transponder Nodes Dangerously Useless And Overpriced
Why do I need to spend 70 electronics on a tracker when the nodes will disappear after like 6 hours? I could have made an auto turret with that. Now my lvl 210 Anky is missing and the transponder node has stopped working. I only expected it to do what it was designed to do and got burnt. Bad.

They don't disappear, i have a node on my quetz that is like 2 months old already. Check your transponder frequency?

Transponder frequency...? I'll... Look into that.

I read that I should have recieved a prompt for the frequency but I never did.
warwisard Jun 8, 2016 @ 3:06pm
You won't recive a prompt for the freq. To set the freq you need to hit "N" (comp default key) to bring up the freq selection. Otherwise it will be what ever the default freq is (I think it is 70 but don't quote me on that).

I never changed the frequency and when I looked it was on 70. Don't know why it stopped working.

They don't disappear.

If you put those thingies beneath the saddle, nobody can temper with them.

Owners can remove them. You hold down E on a dino with it and it says Destroy Transponder.

Don't they just stop displaying after a while, even though they are active?

I believe they have a range to them. You have to be close enough to pick up the signal, and you have to be on the correct frequency.
