battleye

Hey having an issue with battleye, everytime I start ark it asks me to install battleye I do have the button checked not to show me this again yet it does it everytime. I verified my game files and that didn't fix it. I am using eset smart security 9 also user account control does ask my each time if I want to allow the install to modify my computer, if anyone happens to have this and can provide any insight be very much appreciated.

Im having the exact same problem. i start the game and as soon as i try to connect to a server battleye closes the game and tells me to install battleye. even though i have already installed it. and no matter what i push either install or cancel it will restart the game than close it again and tell me to install battleye. over and over and over again on an endless loop.

I am having the same issue! I never even wanted to install it to begin with. Hate the fact they can spy on you lol but I want to play so I did. Now it keeps asking me to install even though it's already installed. GRR

How are you launching ARK and where do you have the files inatalled for the game?

I had this issue and contacted Battleye support. They got back to me right away and we worked out that part of the problem was how I launched the game. I was using a shortcut to ShooterGame.exe rather than launching through Steam and it would ask for the install every time I tried connecting to a BE-enabled server.

Once I launched through Steam, it asked for the install one last time, then it was normal for subsequent launches.

Looking into what changed, I saw that the battleye folder which had only contained the files BEservice.exe and BEservice_h1z1.exe now also contained BEService_ark.exe.

I'm launching through steam and my game files are installed on my E: drive. I went into C:/appdata/local and checked the battleye folder and theres one file called ark and its size is 0kb, not sure if this is the correct battleye folder. I went into E:/common/ark/shootergame/binaries/Win64/battleye and see4 files BEclient_x64.dll, BEserver_x64.dll, BEservice_x64.exe, eula.txt

so you have a BEservice_ark.exe and I don't hmm thats weird maybe I should delete the folder?

I think the Battleye file location I was looking at was C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\BattlEye on my computer. I'd seen that folder mentioned on their support FAQ a while back.

ok check that folder and only file I see in it is BEservice.exe and if the game is always installing battleye when I join a server I wonder if it is my anti-virus causing the issue

Not sure. Launching normally through Steam seemed to resolve the issue for me and it was only after that I saw the BEservice_ark.exe file appear in that folder. If you are already launching that way, though, something else might be preventing it from creating the file it needs.

Maybe try running ShooterGame_BE.exe directly and see if it makes a difference?

hmmm weird, ran shootergame_BE.exe directly, paused eset smart secuirty protection installed battleye again and then checked the folder and still just BEservice.exe nothing else.

Has anyone found a solution to this yet? I am having the same problem, plus there is no file for ark, just BEservice and BEService_Theisle which is another game which uses BE

I'd contact Battleye support and give them all the details. See if they can find a solution for you.

Al iniciar el juego vía steam me pedía instalar el battleye y aunque le diera a instalar no solucionaba nada y me seguía pidiendo instalarlo aunque ya le haya dado y solo me dejaba abrir el juego si le daba a cancelar, a parte en los servidores oficiales o no oficiales no me deja entrar.
Encontré esta solución para instalar el battleye.

steam>steamapps>common>Blacksquad>binaries>WIN32>BattleEye>

Open BELauncher.ini with notepad

replace Privacy Box=1 to --> 0
