"Comfort Food"
Well at least we can turn imprinting off. Why the hell does a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ trike baby want rex kibble?

I am growing warey that every time we are told we are getting a mechanic to make the game more... well... fufilling or diverse instead we get a new grind. Now i need to have stockpiles of all kibble because my babies seem to know about them all?

This isnt a "please nerf" or dev bash... this is a plea. I really want a feature eventually to make it all feel important, or at least make somthing new. this is another item sink. im so tired of item sinks. They dont make the game more interesting, and so far breeding (which i was so damn jazzed about when it was announced) has just been a huge dissapointment.

Please... do somthing better with breeding then "put item in inventory" and "get this specific food this baby has no buisness wanting"

They want to make imprinting a challenge so it's not an easy guaranteed 100% every time.

According to the wiki, there are only 15 kibbles you need to stockpile for imprinting. Search term: imprinting kibble. But I agree with you, it feels like a grind, and totally artificial. A little timer clicking down the seconds until your baby will want care, because you always know precisely when your baby will need care in the real world (not).

They could work the exact same mechanism differently and make it seem like a fun game instead of an aritifical grind. Instead of English words on the screen displaying a countdown timer with written numbers, instead have the baby make certain noises. Grunts when recently satisfied, barks when content, stomach growling when care time is near, and when the beast demands care, it starts dancing around. Instead of English words on the screen saying "your baby wants dino x kibble," an icon appears over its head that the baby is "hungry" or "restless" (wants a walk) or "sad" (wants a cuddle). Then you have to simply offer various foods until the baby accepts one.

Well that's true enough but they do suggest it all the same.
