how do i take off leeches?

i found out u need another person when someone is leeched even when dead it will say [E] to take off leech but idk how to do it with fire

Yeah it works i just tried it and they feel right off but be careful because you lose health fast

Sorry for the Necro ..... but I have to say "thank you" i tried farming with a bronto in the swamp for rare flowers ... it collected so many leaches I couldn't remove them ..... so I lit a camp fire and stood on it .....all leaches gone .... thank you very much.

I am trying to get them off my Wyvern it shows 2 markers for leeches but I have done it 6 times and its still saying to remove them.
