Is 6 hours the starting time? The wiki says about 24 actual hours to grow from seed to fruiting.
That doesn't do much for the inital wait time though. I do play a decent amount every day, but 24 hours would have me waiting at least 3 days before I got anything from the plots.
I forgot to ask, is 5 what you use? If so, how long does it take your crops to grow?
Five minute grow time for those who can't stay online for hours and hours on end.
I mentioned right in the OP that that mod was going way too far for my tastes. I want crops to take time, but not days.
It can, crop growth is part of the configurable server settings in the game.ini. The issue isn't that I don't know *how* to do the change, but rather I'm unsure of *how much* to change it.
first configure he number into human terms
60/19 for hour over minute =3.15789473684 truncate to 2nd decimal because pico seconds are irrelevant here
3.15
then take that number and make it relevant to the minimum setting
5=1=x
x/3.15
0.31746031746
truncate to the third digits because half minutes are relevant here
0.317 becomes 6.34% of 5
that value (0.317) is fine for ark because it supports floating point numbers
input that value for the config and mark the it as read only via right click properties
or "chx 077" read write against the file in linux
and your good to go
