Transfer items between maps (single player, different maps)
How do I, if possible, transfer items/resources between two maps.
Origin map: TheIsland
Destination map: TheCenter
I just found how to do it but in multiplayer/server games..., even so from what I understand it should be on another map different from these.
It's possible?:steamfacepalm:

In early game, you will need to find your way to the obelisks (Giant floating tower things). Each map has 3 obelisks, each capable of making transfers.

I would suggest setting up some form of base/outpost near an obelisk in single player where you can respawn and store stuff.

However transferring is easy. you walk up to the console of the obelisk and open it. There are 3 tabs Ark data, Creature and Tribute. When you open the obelisk it will be on "tribute", so you will want to click "Ark data", Then drag the items you want to send to the other maps into the transmitter.

On the island the Red or Green Obelisk are easier to transfer at. As for the center I have never played the map. However depending on how dangerous the lava area is, the Blue or Green obelisk looks like the best option. However this really will depend on where you have your main base ect.

In the late game, get a Tek Transmitter.

But I don't want to send the character (survivor), and leave the items in the inventory. I don't quite understand how this will work.

The Center, the blue obelisk is the easiest. It should be on the default start island.

But on The Center The Green Obelisk is the most lucrative to live near imo, As the nearby ice berg massively overspawns Kairuku for easy mass organic polymor. And it has two nearby mountains for metal. However it is in the tundra and has the dangerous tundra creatures. Its water area around the ice berg can also spawn spinos. The swamp is nearby as well.

Thats not to say blue is bad, skull island is rich with resources from skull island. Its just lacking in organic polymor. But it makes up for it in having other creatures spawn there you may want, such as brontos, therizino, tapejar, etc.

Red is unadvised. As it is on volcano island, which can spawn gigas. And does mainly spawn rexes, raptors, carno, argents, etc (Its like The Center's version of the island's "The dead island".

Reaching the blue obelisk can really come down to luck. As many dangerous creatures spawn. Rexes, terror birds, raptors, troodons, carnos, micro raptors. If your really unlucky they may camp the area near the blue obelisk. But you might get lucky and things like stegos and brontos and things spawn instead.

Take items and drop them in ark data tab in an obelisk or supply drop and then go to the next map and gather them from an obelisk or supply drop. If you want to take the character with you, you need to upload it first on the first map.

I understood. Very annoying, very tedious, having to go back and forth because of the limit, the mechanics of transferring these obelisks were very poorly done, but it solved it.
Thanks

I was thinking I would have to use the button, it would kill me with hate!

Transferring items is not that bad, although its limited to a small amount of slots. Transferring character though, yeah its lame.

boring, cannot use as inventory <=> storage item; cant use key [T] for more fast, and to get back need click item by item from obelisk:steamthumbsdown::steambored:

I use the obelisks as storage quite often. They often have a nice effect of stuff doesn't spoil in them. Like organic polymor, dragon milk, shocking trank darts, and when taken out they go back to full freshness.

Stuff will count down the spoil timer in the obelisk but it never actually decreases in stack size.

Not only keeps it from spoiling, but resets the spoil timer if it's below 100%. Just put items in, take them out, 100% fresh again. I do that with wyvern milk and few other things

I'm just experimenting with this custom ark; I still didn't like it; so I thought I'd transfer some basic items to speed up, if I don't like it I won't waste much time playing on the map;
