Build a second wall further out about 3 walls high so you can't aggro it inside your base

They are vunerable to gun fire so a few turrents would work. Rocket lauchers Machine Gun. Go for the head while you are at it. Might knock it out.

Lol no gun fire, would be such a waste of resources. Using anything with bullets barely do damage and I highly doubt if someone is having problems with Golem trolling that they would be on here asking for advice if they're base is loaded with Turrets. Even with turrets, a good amount would be about 3-5 loaded with all 24 slots lol. Too mucg resources(unless playing on like a x25 rate -_-)

To defend against a Golem

1. Use another Golem.
2. Use explosives. Preferbly rockets, if can't afford rockets C4
3. Aggro the Golem away from your base.

Good luck =/

I don't understand why the hell it was a good idea to nerf Golems on tame, that's just asking for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to lure wild golems to bases.

above and beyond silly peeps posting above..simple solution to your answer is..METAL WALLS ,METAL EVERYTHING.elementals to metal = imune.

Build a 3 high metal outside wall (however, they can still throw rocks over it if your dinos are too close). Or, build behemoth gate walls around your base (they break the line of sight mechanic). Or, use the pillar technique (golems are so wide they can not pass by 3 high pillars that are close together, but can still toss rocks if they get too close, so the best weapon here is range).

well a simpler way is to just put up a fence of stone gates, with our without the doors depending on how much you want to gather for resources

I realize this thread is a month old... but... I had to ask: Would a wild golem attack and break such a stone gateway?? Or would they only really aggro on a player and his dinos? (Been playing on an offline raid protection server for a few months. I've seen golems who seem to be aggroing on player-made objects. And I've had plenty of critters attack the spike walls around my base... and kill themselves on them.)

We've had problems with trolls kiting them onto our bases on our PVE server as well. Wild Golems do not actively attack a gate unless the kiter is within aggro range with the gate between the two. Saw this in action when the jerks were attacking our base (yes, I caught them in the act and reported them!). They had the golems slamming boulders into our gate wall, If not for the timely arrival of some friends to kite the golems away they might have broken through.

My advice is put up metal gates if you can afford the metal, or, at the very least use metal pillars three high closely spaced in vulnerable areas to keep them away from your base. Building in metal will also work but takes a long time to gather the ingots, and metal buildings don't protect you from heatwaves the way adobe does.

Personally, I'd like to see them make kiting golems and wyverns onto people's bases when they are offline impossible. Or, make it so the kited creatures do no damage if the person is offline.

Hope that helps.
