Farming pelt

Whatsa quick way to farm mass amount of pelt? ihave mastercraft bp's for armour just it weighs to much and 900 pelt per item isnt fun and farming it for the whole tribe so any automated builds anything welcome

If your playing on The Island or The Center...Rhino's give the most Pelt, so have a Dino that can kill them with little effort will help like a Giga or leveled up T-Rex. If your playing on Sorched Earth Procoptodon's give the most pelt.
Or you can just add a Mod (Resource Crops) to make it even easier.

One of the easiest ways to get Pelt is to tame a Direwolf and then run around killing Mammoths. You will get around 20-50 Pelt per Mammoth. Another way is to make a holding pen near the snow and put a strong mount (preferably a herbivore so they don't eat the corpse) in there. Then take an Argentavis or Quetzal to the snow, pick up Direwolves and Megaloceros or Mammoths and drop them in the cage for your tame to kill. Harvest the bodies with a Direwolf.

Outside of the Snow Biome you can get pelt from Castoroides, Direbears, Megaloceros, Procoptodon, and Direwolfs

i got dire wolves im thinking about making a pen and set them on aggessive while we drop dinos bu t they get really heavy quickly

bunk bed probably only thing really, maybe bug potion which to be aint many bugs...

If you're making for the whole tribe, have someone help you out? One gathers, one transports the collected pelts back to base or closer storage?

Wooly Rhinos drop the most. We don't have the set to go in the snow yet and we are farming the pelts in the red wood by getting Direbears. They drop a decent chunk too

Alternatively, make it a tribe event. Snow biome hunting trip.
Or set a quote each day, and spread out the load.

Yeah...ALLLL you gotta do is make your way through all the Rex, Carnos, Sabers and Scorpions and then you just tame a direwolf that's going to be running in a pack. Easy peasy....
Not to mention the fact that you will be freezing the entire time and slowly dieing since you don't have pelts to make fur gear.

i realize this post is old but honestly, all those dinos live in some what difficult spots, needless to say you're dying while in the snow biome lol
