SE Beacon drops are horrible. Please help

I am running a dedicated server with me and friends. The loot beacons are extremely bad... i am talking one item per that is normally an adobe schematic. Nobody has seen a single beacon that has been worth getting and we are approaching level 70 for red beacons. I don't ever recall it being this bad. Anyone have ideas as to why they are so bad or is it supposed to be this way?

I got a mastercraft mantis saddle in a red, and then in another I got a blueprint for a mastercraft mantis. I'm not having any trouble with drops at the moment

1/10 reds will give you somting good...but that somthing good will be worth it. thats how its meant to work. even green drops give MC bps...i got 2 last night alone.

Just got a Matercraft Whip blueprint from red one and a Journeyman rocket launcher from a yellow but yes as a whole I agree usually building blueprints, oil / water well blueprint.

Also to add. I have had a couple journeymen flamethrower and rocket launchers I've only been on the se servers for a week and a half. Can't say I experience the same issue

Every beacon on SE has two quality types, normal trash ones, and ones with a gold circle around them which are the good ones. If it does not have a gold circle around it, I do not bother looting it.

The red ones are still crap, unless they have a gold circle.
Only 10% will have a gold circle. Sounds like you have only been looting the 'crap' versions.

But wait to you are L80 and look the 'deep sea' chests and get ascendant giga saddles and other crap you can not use on SE maps

i got an acsendant giga saddle with 94 armor and transfered it to the island, sad thing is, i havent tamed a giga yet, saw no purpose to have one.

On my server, I edited the game.ini file so the 'deep sea' chests have SE only loot, not crap like giga saddles. I still do not know why they devs have edited all the other beacons and chests on SE to have SE only loot, but not the 'deep sea' chests.....seems like a bug.

Since my servers are part of a cluster (transfers any direction) I have disabled the taming of giga's anyway, which make them double as useless

completly wrong.
circle indicates more loot, not the quality of it. ive got plenty of jm / mc items from non ring drops.
open everything, no point passing up any free loot.

Sure I have got some good stuff from the normal ones, but much better ratio from the new ones so I don't bother with the old ones anymore.

Do you have a set of what the 'defaults' are? I only want to change it a little bit from the defaults (remove one or two items)

I do not. I made mine mostly from scratch with inspiration from the sets used in the RAWR Beacons mod.

I have look everywhere for what the default beacons are.....I guess the devs have never released that information

It can be found in the dev kit but will take some hefty manual labor to convert it to config code. If you're already digging around for the infor in the dev kit then you might as well just make your modifications in there and produce a mod for your server.
