Mantis eggs

Has anybody figured out how to boost mantis egg drops? We keep taming females but there are almost no eggs, 10 females + 2 males drop 1 egg daily.

In the code it looks like there timer for laying is 100 days...which has to be a bug and I have logged it as one. If that is normal...

What is the average for egg timers Natjur?

I will say this I have tested different pen materials as well as locations and I'm not seeing any noticeable improvement. I currently have three males and 10 females.

I would love to hear something back concerning this.

Seems to be a 'code' issue as Natjur suggests IMO.

i play on unofficial that has an egg collector mod, and i Rarely see mantis eggs being collected... at this point we have More mantis than Thorny's, and are getting thorny eggs much more regularly... So, i don't think location/material is causing the rarity of the eggs, its the Mantis themselves.

insects cant be bred i thought?? which means they wont produce a fertilized egg; or any for that matter.

No mating for mantises.

I tried moving them to water (like Dimetrodons) and to dunes (like some suggest) - no improvement, and no poop either, 10 females drop like 1 day egg a day.

Do you see "Enable Wandering to Mate" on mantises? Neither do I.
As stated many times already you can not breed them, so there are no fertilized eggs.

We have 5 females and a male and have yet to see an egg. Seems broken.

tested with 1 male and 9 female, eggs collector mod and player connected in range. 1 hour at CHEAT SLOMO 10 but no eggs at all

Broken, or developers wants it extremely rare. Mantis kibble are usefull only for imprinting, the rock golem is easy to tame with sulfur

Oviraptor doesnt boost it just like the scorpians. Tried this and spawned one in on SP.

Tried to set mantis in wandering and i'm log off, after one other hour I log in and eggs collector collected one egg, so they lay eggs, but at very low rate. I don't know if wandering helps
