I can't find anything on the topic. I found out I had to have lots of sunlight to make a garden. I then played it sooo cool and made a greenhouse just to get disapointed when it still said I needed sun light o.O I mean... What? lool I saw all my resources go POOF .... Anyone got ideas to how I can get it up running?.. Not single player so mods won't be an idea... Thanks :)

I have found the entire top need to be open and at some point they made it need to have the green house walls too if you want the full effect

ok.. but first I made it totally open - no greenhouse stuff at all.. not possible :/ I am in a valley up north in the mountains.. Now I made a green house on the mountain side still not able. Ok I will try remove some greenhouse addic.. I have a full greenhouse done though.... and thx for fast reply :)

You mean that you cannot place the crop plots, correct? We have the same problem near our oasis in the desert. Area's as desert and mountain are considere off limit for crop plots. No idea why but it is what it is, right? So to find a good place run around with a cropplot ready to set down, when it turns green it's good to go and build your greenhouse

ya, not allowed to put the plot down lol it keep saying I don't have enough sunlight.. Ok, that just annoying xD being in the mountains you can't really get any closer to the sun hahahahaha

I will try to remove the addic from the grenhouse - maybe it works what Ragnorok said :) worth a try at least after all the time/recorses spend building it xD

as I said, I will not aurrender, so might gonna try on top of the mountain... maybe some luck there....
Do you know if there is any way to see if garden are possible - like for the wind turbin we press H to see wind %.. ?

hold a crop plot in your hand, if it turns green you good to go

but it needs a floor to be able to put down. It say there is no snap point or something like that.

It is starting to sound like plots are bugged in SE tribe I'm in dropped them on the bare ground and always been able to on the island only diff I see now is that you need a full green house to get the full effect

also annoying as you do need the veggies for the insect go away thingy.. and I really wanna play around with a Manta xD ok I do sound like a crybaby now lol sorry ^^,

We have them both on foundations and off foundations, so floor is not needed.

wow ok, both in normal Ark and in SE I have to put floor first o.O else it give me the message that there is no snap point.
Both me and my friend has always been making floors because we get that message. That's weird

just to confirm you do NOT need a foundation to put down crop plots... yes it does seem it's alittle wonky in SE but you can put them straight on the ground. i have 4 crop plots on the ground next to a small pond in the middle of the map without a greenhouse too. so it does work just need to find the right spot.

You absolutely do not need foundation for plots but the info here is telling me the plots seem to be glitched in SE or it's intended but who knows the devs don't talk much anymore

Just kinda frustrating that we can't seem to do it in either SE or normal Ark lol
I understand that in SE it's due to the fact we live in/on the mountain but in normal Ark we lived just about every place as we moved around the first few months after being raided. Might be time to reinstall, I guess

ya they don't really talk much.. I think they kinda got tired as every topic is taken by the SE haters/crybabies lol
Sad though, as we are many who enjoy the game while others use time flaming ^^,
But if that is the reason then I tend to understand them.
