Is this possible? That would be a huge security hole for several reasons.
Key to win in ark is and will always be players with no life at all which can farm all day and wipe at night..
To clarify: The DDOS problem in our instance isn't IP targeted. It's the cheaters in question smashing the serverside machine down repeatedly to dupe wyvern milk/eggs/explosives. They're doing this on secondary accounts they run with the dual purpose of duping and clogging up server slots (70/70 all day, every day)
Yeah either you take a risk with official... or you take a risk with cheating admins and disappearing servers. Pretty much the only sure fire solution is host your own server.
Since WC doesn't host the servers we rent I'm not sure how you think they are profiting.
I would say no, unless someones running a hacked client and theres stuff in the broadcast packets that shouldnt be there. However its rudimentary to find the servers IP, and sadly thats probably whats getting attacked.
Steam does not allow discussion of cheating or hacking on their boards and the support team are happy to help on the link provided.
