Alpha Wyvern Hunting Information
So I have seen one or two videos of people killing Alpha Wyverns but each time it was with other, stronger wyverns. I am looking for information on killing them without any existing wyverns as well as general information about them without having to spend hours in single player.

I currently have 2 plans I can think of, and both revolve around finding out just how fast of an argent or lymantria I would need to outrun an alpha. In one of the videos a 200% speed argent got easily caught and killed, so the alphas are clearly MUCH faster than the standard wyvern. Does anyone know how much I would need to be to outrun it fast enough to lose it again after aggrod?

For the plans themselves, my main one involves building a metal building covered in 10 or more auto turrets with a few hundred bullets in each. I've been told the alphas start with 8000 base health and gain 1.2k per point, so I estimate even a level 120 shouldn't have more than 50,000 health. With turret DPS, 10 turrets should take down that mega 120 in about 35 seconds, so most lower levels should go much quicker.

The other plan was to convert the giant stone wyvern trap that I use to trap and knock out females into metal so that alphas cannot damage it and attempt to lure them inside that, before slowly killing them somehow. Likely with my poison wyvern from afar.

For the turret plan, has anyone tried anything similar? Will it aggro onto the turrets right away or keep following the player? Will the turrets/wiring all get destroyed too quickly? Is there a good way to shield the turrets from as much damage while still allowing them to shoot mostly freely?

I could try my hand at breeding, I have never tried before except when I hatched a wyvern. We do have slightly increased breed maturity rates though. I forgot to write down the stats of my current argents when tamed though, so I would need to find all new ones to start with. Ill go read up on breeding mechanics for a bit I guess and see if thats a good fit.

Well, first of all, it's automatically a 100% effectiveness at eclosion, which means +50% lvl.
Then there is the 100% imprint stat bonus AND the imprinter ridding bonus. Then bring along an other one for mate boosting. It gets insane very fast.

I'm from the Genentech Inc. tribe which aims to breed Uber dinos and give away failed experiments to tribes on the server.
So, not many tribe try to raid us. And those who do don't escape jailing from the alpha tribe for long. Even failed experiments have much better stats than anything they have normally.

Failed experiments, lol. So far ive been flying around on my wyvern killing any and all argents that arent a high level to try and get some high lvl spawns. killed easily 50 argents, not a single one past level 40 so far. So hard to find high level dinos on SE.

If you are on default solo difficulty (0.5) You won't find any 120...
Im on an unofficial SE server, normal SE server difficulty spawns 120s. Just rarely.

I dunno i've seen about 3 or 4 120s on official... which i thought was unusual.

It is unusual...
We have to look for weeks or even months to find 120s with almost pure stats (We accept if it's 80% or above).
One of the trick is to kill any that isn't to make it spawn more. This method is much more effective for dinos with low spawn rate such as Quetz and Giga to make 120s spawn.

An other exemple of why you should breed dinos:

Perfect tamed Gigas gets trashed by titanosaurs or barely survive.
Bred Gigas opens them like a bag of chips or its one of those worst case scenario bred... Retarded dinos do happen in the breeding process but is very rare and are usually put to sleep.

And with the new mechanic this october (that might get pushed back to november) you really should start trying out breeding. I bet there will be a familly boost on top of mate boost and imprinter boost. You apply that to uber dinos with huge stats... One day, killing a titanosaure with a dilo will be possible on official...

Ahh yes I do like breeding dinos... took me about 7 generations to make my perfect dimorphodons that hatch around level 200. I have a swarm of them that i take to kill just about anything except gigas.
i kill these regularly with my 120 perfect tame argy, 250 speed and stay inside the Wyverns turn radius and its easy kill
I found a very very nice 104 argent with above average damage and health. Tamed in at 156 or something around there with nearly 300% melee and 2.3k health. After I find a worthy mate for it and get some offspring with the stats of the parents, I will attempt to fight the alpha head on with one of the parents and see how things go.

In the mean time, I am still going the turret route as well. My math was off somehow despite using wiki numbers but when tested in single player even 8 turrets was enough to take down a level 120 alpha wyvern in under 30 seconds, whereas I had been planning on 10. Makes things a little easier.

It will have 20% more health, melee, speed, weight and torpor than normal, you add to that 30% Damage bonus and 30% damage reduction from imprinter rider (you).

You add to that mate boosting... you get something like 3 times the damage output of a tamed one.
Likely wont be able to do a full imprint but still sounds like it will be pretty nice. Only got like 1 chance a week where I would have time for a full imprint unfortunately. The trouble is getting lucky enough to find a second one with some good stats that also happens to be the opposite gender and not the same nice stats.
