Report a translation problem
I heard elsewhere tis a known issue on single player.
Target dummy on our server is working okay but, it is a hosted server session.......
I tested one I built and have used another clan mate built and both work for both of us.
I forgot to say that I'm playing on PC.
If forgot to add, I did nto try with fists or guns when we tried them some time ago, I was
using them to test dino/animal damage numbers and for that they worked fine.
If I check again this afternoon I'll post in thread here.
Fists, melee weapons, ranged weapons and explosives do not work correctly.
I sent email to WC support, but I don't know if someone read these emails.
Fists 2 damage , as OP said.
Axe and pike reported damage.
Advanced Rifle ammo (using a modded semi auto) zero damage.
Simple rifle ammo in a standard one shot default gun. Zero Damage.
A shotgun, zero damage.
The Dino Overhaul Sniper Rifloe with explosive ammo, 640 damage.
Rhino charge damage ... you don't want to know 28k plus..... run Forest, run. (that is not DPS number but first number)
So, bottom line, some stuff works some don.t
They work just fine. It's damage to thatch structure that is shown.
It was working correctly.
Training Dummy is to test the damage you do to a player with no armor.
Nothing to do with Thatch structures!
Compare your damage at the dummy and a thatch foundation...

but I don't want to see the exact number of damage that I do to each dino. I want to compare all weapons to see which one has the more damage and which one has the more DPS. But now, it is impossible, because Training Dummy is broken.
The parameter ShowFloatingDamageText=True shows different damage for each dino, because each dino has different resistance. And it is now show the DPS.
But, you didn't answer me to this:
Did you ever try the Training Dummy before v247?
It was working 100% correctrly.
I need to see the how much damage I do to a naked human.
Nothing to do with dinos and resistance.
It worked like naked humans until 245.
Like thatch ever since then.
Honestly, comparing DPS on a training dummy even with naked human stats is point less, as you have to factor in the missed shots on moving targets. Rocket launcher and minigun turret have same DPS, but I'd rather use the minigun even after the x0.7 multiplier because if you miss a rocket, you miss a chunk of the DPS. How ever, I'll use it on bosses because the DPS matters much more and they are big enough for you to hit 99% of the time.
For other PvE need, use composite bow for killing and long neck for tranq low hp dinos and crossbow with higher hp dinos but with more torpor (Giga).
