Metal water tank not filling up from irrigation line??
am i missing something or miss reading the description... "The reservoir can hold up to 500 water. It can be filled up by connecting it to irrigation pipes and it automatically fills up during rain or snowfall. It has 10 itemslots.".... it can be filled up by connecting it to irrigation lines..funny i have the lines hooked up to a well and have them running up to the tank and from the tank to the crop plots, i know the lines are getting water cause they are tinted Blue AND a irrigation tap furhter down the line is supplying water....so whats going on?

That's an odd issue, but one I've had before as well. It just suddenly filled up successfully one day. You say you're running irrigation lines TO the water tank from a source? Is there a tap from the line in/around the water tank? Maybe that will fix it.. but I have no solution to it not filling up even during rain/snow.

In fact though, just recently I made a preserving bin and it didn't work. Didn't even use the sparkpowder I put in it. My solution to that was to make another.. still didn't work.. and another.. and another, and finally that 4th one worked as it should have. No idea why some of the stuff broke. Yay for DLC though lol >_>

did you put the pipes down first and have the tank snap to the pipes or the other way around?

I found I always had to do the pipes first and then the tanks snap and work. The other way = nothing

The tank should snap to SIT on a pipe. That looks like it tried to snap to the end of one, which I have never seen work. Also the cross pipes can cause issues when trying to snap tanks too.

same problem. i know the pipes carry water because i put a tap on them and could drink and fill up bottles, but every connected tank or boiler doesnt fill

I've had that happen if the tanks weren't place with a clear view of the sky as they fill from rain.

I have the (Not Irrigated) text on my cooker as I'm using tanks as well... My cooker would not fill up at all, the work around I've had to use is put an empty canteen in the cooker and hit remote use til the cooker fills up. I even had to prime the tanks this way as they weren't filling up when it snowed. This is the only way I've found to to get it to work (still says "not irrigated," but works).

Not an SE player, but I always thought the tanks *only* filled up with rain.

Rain or snow as we play on the center

(By now most of you probably have already found an answer but if not) I had this problem as well like the rest of you and I was using a well in scorched earth at one point I wanted a build a pipeline to the nearest lake ( in the middle of the map) I placed a metal water tank down and it started working unlike using the well
Are the pipes actually connected to a physical water source? That is, a river or pond or the ocean? And not just a water well like in scorched earth. The pipes have to connect to a physical water source, with an intake pipe, before they will say "Irrigated".
