Castoroides taming conundrum
I am currently taming a lvl 145 Castoroides in my single player game and the taming is taking even longer than my lvl 100 Ankylo did. I don't have access to Gallimimus kibble and i don't want to cheat them in.

Is it possible to increase the taming speed in the launch screen, with the Castoroides already being knocked out and taming?

Yes. When you start your server there is a taming speed thing. I usually set mine to x15. Is still long enough to make me patient, but it's not annoyingly short

So a lvl 145 takes longer to tame than a lvl 100... Interesting.

Now seriously though, I don't know if chanigng the taming speed multiplier affects dinos that are already knocked out. You lose nothing for trying, and it definitely faster than coming here to open a post.

It does affect already ko'd dinos I tested awhile back.

It is not that it takes long to tame, but rather the insane torpor decrease that makes it hard to maintain the tame. I have no shortage of berries, but getting meat is a lot trickier, as there are no spawns on the island I am on. Which is the large island west of Skull Rock in the Center.

The meat would obviously be for the Spoiled meat needed for the narcotics...

Using Narcotics for taming is a trap. Quick bit of trivia - 5 narcoberries provide the same amount of torpor as 1 narcotic - However, the 5 narcoberries cause that 40 torpor to be provided over 15 seconds, instead of the few seconds of the Narcotic. For creatures that have high torpor depletion, its best to use narcoberries rather then narcotics, as it gives a much longer period of time between doses.

Narcotics - Lighter weight, don't spoil.
Narcoberries - Easier to acquire, more efficient for taming.

1 Narc = 40 Torpor
