What is the best way to store Wyvern Milk?
Looking for a better way than using the bin. Can you use a female dragon to store it? Can Salt help in some way?

We are storing ours in that one of those little guys that you pet to get exp for your parked animals.. lol , can't think of the name of them atm

We put the milk in him and put the salts in there with him, watching the spoil timer on the salts.
It will double the spoil time for the milk.

Preserving Bin + Preserving Salt in the bin with it is the best way since we're not allowed to store milk in the fridge anymore for some strange reason...

The Preserving Bin and Salt doesn't seem to work. (EDIT: Yes it does. See below) Put the Milk and preserving Salt in a handy dino or, even handier, a shoulder-mounted dino (I use Jerboa on SE) and that seems to work for increasing storage time.

EDIT: Doh, forgot the Sparkpowder for the Preserving Bin. The Milk I have sin't fresh but is still lasting over 9 hours. Fresh milk would last a lot longer, I'm sure.

Spoilables have a Spoil-Timer.
If you put a Spoilable Item in your CHARACTERS INVENTORY
and then transfer to another server
the spoil timer will be reset (you can try with everything, from spoiled meat, eggs, kibble to wyvern milk, everytime the timer will be reset after you transfered with it in your chars inventory)

Even better, if you initiate a transfer to another server, but then log out at the spawn screen
the milk will not spoil ever
(hint: relog once per 12h, i think after 12h your chars inventory in the transfer zone will be deleted, since this happened to me once)

This makes you able to store up to 300 milk per char for an infinite time.
I have 3 Ark accounts, so 900 milk is what i always have at hand when raising wyverns.

Before some really really dumb people come and say "this was fixed a long time ago", let me explain it again:
IM NOT TALKING ABOUT THE UPLOAD ITEM INVENTORY AT THE OBELISKS, I AM TALKING ABOUT THE INVENTORY OF YOUR CHAR ITSELF!!!!

I solo raised a massive amount of wyverns with this method already so i dont care if it gets fixed, so i share it with the public, have fun while it lasts :P

So, it's hardly a necropost really, is it. You think September is years ago?

I actually think this is a good necro because you are bringing some new information to the table assuming it is correct.

Official server and you are getting 9 hours out of milk by storing on a dino with salt? I always used to carry salt and milk on my dinos when coming back from a milk run and I never got 9 hours.

This must be new or you are playing some sort of mod

My milk never spoils... see my post.
Salt and Island with Bins work, but i had the experience that, if you raise 25 to 50 wyverns at once, its a bit of a major pain to refill all the bins with salt every at least 5 hours, i prefer storing 600 milk offline and if i begin to run short, i just go on a low pop SE server and kill 6-10 alpha wyvern and repeat on a 2nd low pop, milk refilled ez.

The only hard thing in raising wyvern is being online if you going to do 100% imprinted batches.

Yeah I am not referring to your post, was referring to Tachyon who was saying storing milk on a dino makes it last 9 hours.

With your method you are tying up characters in a obelisk so you can't actually play the game, not really feasible for most people running just 1 account.

By the end of the first day, Wyvern only need to be fed every 12 hours anyways and even longer if you leave them in stasis so I only need a few milk runs if I am doing a non imprinting batch

Wut do u mean by relog? Like do i have to spawn with my char and do the transfer again or is it enough just to open the spawn map and log off again? Thx for nice tut btw awsome find!
