ARK: Survival Evolved

People leaving false reviews will destroy this game!
Game has gone from i think very positive to mixed in the space of a week or so, people whining about this DLC (Which is awesome, great job WildCard!) is gonna turn people away from buying it.
some of these reviewers have thousands of hours and I just gotta ask this:
Do you really want to see your beloved game die? 'Coz you sure as hell are going to ruin it for those of us that love to play.

if a game can "ruin you life" you have no life anywa, I suggest trying real life relationships.

I don't think the bad review were "false", game is based on a good idea but badly developed by incompetent coders.
Sorry. Just got to say hey bear u were in HOD. vid u gotraid ed

A large portion of the negative reviews are these types.

"I bought and refunded the game to just leave a negative review." .2 hours played.

I'veen so many of people who are just under the "refund litmit" who have purchased in the last week+.

This is why steam reviews are worthless.
I wish steam would give the option to just turn off reviews because good or bad they are highly manipulated anymore.
yes like all hillary clinton voters are worthless?

just because you does not like does not mean it is wrong

STFU and write a pos review instead of whining like a 5 year old not getting candy in the store
TBH it is what they get. I have yet to write a review.. I am going to soon i think though. I have thousands of hours in this game. and to release a paid DLC when the game is still so broken is just wrong. I think they are just tring to get cash out of a dying horse now.

Kind of like you. You are beating a dead horse on a thread that had finally almost died. If you had anything worth saying that has not already been repeated at least twenty times on this thread alone already, I would actually consider it. Nearly every time it's the same statement with no facts nor figures to back it up. Then, very rarely, you'll get a different point with the same lack of substance. I have only read two people's comments who actually had valid points. This goes for both sides so please, between this and the fact that you did not actually offer a counter argument in your last post and instead turned to listing ad hominems, in your own words, "STFU".

ARK was in my eyes never a good game, its was frustrating from the beginning to play, EA is always a risc for the developer but he needs to mantain always a low profile and not overhype or hurt the gamer base with misplaced actions, like a DLC. Most negative reviews are dealing with this fact. My critic of the game was always that the maps are way too small for 75 or 100 players and this is a limitation of the game engine and will not change, also hunger, dehydration times way too fast, stupid AIs, breeding times, no building limits and many more. Now after over a year there is nothing done to address some of the issues, instead of that they are throwing one
new content after another which doesnt help. Obviously Wildcard is OK with that, as long as they can make a buck of it.
Reviews aren't limited to gameplay. Companies/studios are also subject to the reviews. If you make terrible decisions, you are going to get terrible reviews. 90% of the negative reviews are justified so get over it.

So now the reviews have made the main game mostly Negative, did you ♥♥♥♥s even think about ARKs future prospects to new players, even once. Yeah they didnt do the greatest thing in the world, but now that you guys flooded the pages with negative reviews their chances of obtaining new players is severly crippled. people who havent heard good thing or seen the games greatness before will see these reviews and say "Man, if the reviews say its ♥♥♥♥ maybe I should go spend my money elsewhere" therefore hurting the Devs. they need the money to pay for better programing, over-time to fix all the ♥♥♥♥ you guys wont stop complaining about, and to hire newer and better employees. THanks to your selfish acts and disreguard for your actions, you could cost the ARK dev team time, money, and resources. Resources need to make this game the greatest game on steam. So i hope your happy people, hope you enjoy an EA forever game with zero Optimization because you drove their customers away with your selfish, slanderous smear campains. Enjoy

more than a single game, what is more important is to ensure developers do not continue the practices we see suchvas EA paid dlc, lying about game content (NMS) and such. by suppprting and defending this you are harming future development.
So 11,000+ people not happy with Wildcards conduct must be wrong/delusional and you must be right.. Makes sense :-)

So you think that the game deserves to die because they made a business decision you don't agree with?
You honestly think that poor Steam Reviews makes or breaks a game?

Died of laughter.

You think the backer should pay for poor business decisions?
Clearly poor steam reviews havent changed much but its more than silence on the matter.
Just proves how many sheep there are in the consumer market and justifies the likes of Walmarts success ;-)
Justin bieber's new album with authentic bieber strand of hair any of the fanbois? Its "Authentic" :-)

Good call but you are wasting your time. If wildcard follows the fine print and abandones this game before completion theres nothing you can do about it. Yes it's wrong. But the fanbois will still blindly rally in defence. Why do you think real housewives of beverly hills show and the jerry springer show made so much money/popularity? Because fanbois/girls have always existed and will gladly be the sheep that shower the money in

Steam reviews are universally cancerous in general, often regardless of whether the devs are actually making mistakes or not. Any thinking buyer knows this, and is far more likely to use Youtube for their pre-purchase research than the review page.

depends. So 11,000+ people are wrong and you are right? If there was the odd neg review that would make sense. But 11,000 and you are trying to argue the fact that those reviews are emotional rather than factual? GG
No. I'm not saying I'm right about anything. I'm saying Steam reviews are not an accurate representation of any game I've played, and are more a source of amusement during meal breaks than an influence of any degree on what I choose to buy. As is the case for anyone who looks at the game itself rather than reviews.
