What is best start zone (Scorched Earth)?

What is the best zone to start in? I keep dieing before I can play. There is that initial game start moment where you can't move, but things can attach you. I am having difficulty getting past that moment. Raptors, dire wolves, and terror birds keep killing me, before I can move. I have been trying zones maked as "Easy".

which map, we have the island, the center, and scorched earth, and dont get me started on the list of mods
ahh, new player, (editing my post here) west 1-3 are seen as the good spots, im assuming the island map, no dlc
if the center, use south tropical island

On The Island?
The safest place in general is along the south coast but there will still be some predators around.

I chose South 3 then went along the dried riverbed and set up by the pools there.
In that immediare area I only encountered a few raptors and a rare Thorny Dragon but outside that valley it starts to get rough.

i forgot, stay away from the mountain or the side of it away fomr the red thing

South 2, not too far from a field of cactus and the green obi, that is an oasis btw. A lot of jug bug and you can use the camel dino as shield against predators, they are the SE's trike.
