Wind Turbines
I can't find any general information about wind turbines and haven't built one yet. Can anyone share some info please?

How many floor tiles wide are they? 2x2? 3x3? How many tiles tall are they? Can they be enclosed inside a building and still function or do they have to be outside always?

I'm not exactly sure but i would say the Wind Turbine is about 5 or maybe 6 Wall high and approx 2 *?* Foundations wide and it won't work inside of any enclosed Building.

Ps: They work at a Wind Force of 50% and up.

Go in SP, test it out and tell us about it, I'm intrigued. I can't now, no computer...
Well, now I know one thing. They finally removed the "infinite distance to electrical lines" from the game I used to exploit (power half the map with 1 generator). With wind turbines you have a fixed distance you can go from the turbine and still have "yellow" power lines. After that the lines turn dark. So I can't put a wind turbine up on the cliff and run the power all the way down to my base. Which really sucks... might have to re-locate the entire base up to the top into the desert now.. damn that'll be a lot of work.

8 high
2 foundations long
1 wide

Well, that just means location is everything on this new map, finding both water veins and the wind in close proximity are critical.

Actually have to do the same.. I'm near the Red Obelisk but i don't mind, i just use the Generator and repair it over time.

I have two down in single player on one network and they don't power anything. 65% wind. Connected to one outlet two cables away.

(Edit: Yes, necessary necro. There seems to be zero information about where these will actually work in relation to wind pressure)

Apparently, from what I have heard the % wind means the Wind Turbine will only work that percentage of the time, so one pretty much has to make sure they have 100% wind for the Wind Turbine or deal with regularly repairing the Electrical Generator.

I have a problem with turbines. Yesterday they produced at least some power (I have 65% wind atm), but today they don't produce any, no matter how fast or slow they spin. Anyone faced similar issue?

65% wind means the turbine will only work 65% of the time. The percentage has absolutely nothing to do with wind speed or force. So, yes, in a 65% area, you will not get power all the time. The only way to do that is to find a 100% wind spot.

Without more testing the windturbine in it's current state is useless in lower then 100% wind areas. Since you need 100% uptime on turrets/fridges (while offline for sleep/work). Testing so far has gotten us the information that windturbines in the same grid placed close to each other turns of at the same time (when placed down on the ground at the same time) at the same "in game time", "every in game day". For insstance, i place down 3 turbines on the same cable grid close to each other in a 85%W area. In this example, the power turns off from 11:00-15:00 every day (4 hour in game down time). Electrical storms does not affect this cycle. Every single turbine turns off at this point in time, aswell as get online at the same time.
