Ghillie or cloth armor works, also do not build wooden shelter, build straw shelter. Skilling some fortitude is also not the worst idea.

Easy fix bump your fort up and pay attention to the tenp or tame a Jerboa

i have 30 fortitude so far, Played like 2000 hours lol.... Im having to spend every point on it which is a bit crap....

The Adobe building material is awesome, together with cloth armor or the desert armor and fortitude you're even chilling inside with 77°C outside (thats >140°F maybe?).

I have my fort at 54 and only problem i have is being in the higher parts of the map where the heat is more intense, if it's too hard change the player resistance if your in SP and edit the fort stat to go up 8x instead of the default. Living in the desert shouldn't be easy

you really dont need that much. With 30 fortitude and the desert cloth outfit you'll be totally fine

getting there is the problem. i started a new toon on scorched earth and dying fifty times in two hours to heat is simply NO FUN. no, it isn't difficulty, it's not supposed to be easy but on official rates with official xp gain the weather effects are stupid

Wow I keep dying & havent got to that stuff yet lol...... The game is hard ill say that... which is good cos the island was as tame as ♥♥♥♥.... Most people modded the crap out of there server to make it hard... I was killed out right by a freakin buzzard while flying my arg haha.... Then killed by a Rock thing, thought i was getting flint lmao.... But the whole heat thing is driving me nuts & im not a new player to this game... Im on my own private server I rented yesterday & im dying over & over.....

Thats true. I am playing on my own small server i created for SE and without Harvest x3 its extremely hard and you will die a lot in the beginning if you are playing alone and dont know how to avoid dying, but as soon as you find a water vein things become doable :)

Why not get some people to play with you? It took me a few hours to stop dying too often since i was testing it alone too, its more fun with others after all :D

All my mates stopped playing Ark back when they brought out that dodgy patch that deleted loads of stuff.... Just me now haha.... But cant grumble at a £10 per month for a 12 ping... I dont mind doing it alone to be fair :)
Have you tried using the tent? That helped me a TON. Personally, I enjoy the challenge becuase vanilla Ark was getting to be a bit too easy for me.

yeah still alot of fun ^^ i started SE alone too, but then had to start a small server to watch my friends die while majestically staring at them from the back of my wyvern ^^

My friend and I have been playing Scorched Earth none stop, here's some tips that may be of help:

1. As soon as you start the game, go look for a water vein/pond/river
2. Berries add no water in SE and Cactus Sap does not match up with its item description.
3. It is best not to use Run action unless you are being chased or need to get to somewhere urgently.
4. Two most important things to unlock as soon as possible are tent and water well. Tent, especially, will save your lives during hours of Heat Wave. For armor, get to desert armor set asap. If you are lucky you might even find a full set of desert armor from supply drops early in the game.
5. Jerboas (Those super cute fox creatures) are easy tame. When they shake their head and ears repeatedly, there's a Heat Wave incoming. When they lower their head and make several sounds repeatedly, there's a Sand Storm incoming. When their tails stand up and point to the sky and their body is shaking, there's a Thunder Storm incoming.
6. Fortitude is actually very helpful stat on this map. If you are relatively less pvp focused, or if you are the support/ secondary fighters in your tribe, consider bumping fortitude to around 40-60. For my character, with 60 fortitude and a full desert armor set, I lose no health during Heat Waves and water drains slowly as well. I also bumped my water stat to 150 which actually worked well on this map.
7. Wells cannot be used to install pipes/intakes, so you will have to find an actual body of water for farming.
