1920x1080 not working?

I'm trying to play this, just bought it, but when i try to set my resolution to 1920x1080, it's incredibly pixelated and i can tell by the steam overlay that something is not right ( not sharp).

Any idea what this is?

^this. check your settings.. i'd say this isn't pixelated at all on 1920x1080 with normal ingame settings. check the screenshot

I got the scale to work, sort of.
Everything looks drabby, ugly, drawn out and it's FULL of graphical glitches.
Can't even think of looking at a tree with the sea in the background because it draws some weird ass shadow figure over the screen.

glitches? when was the last time you updated your graphics driver? what hardware are you using?

just curious... you didn't follow some bad advice such as putting in -d3d10 and -sm4 in your startup? Cause to be quite honest, nothing should be in that section. It disables DirectX 11 and Shader Model 5 for older undesired Attari type graphics.

It was my first time launching the game, i didn't change anything.
Uninstalling the game now, never seen such a pathetic excuse for a game.

8 GB ram

I appreciate you trying to help mate but i'm 100% sure my driver is up to date, i updated it to be sure with the nvidia program.
I think i'll just uninstall this and forget about it before i waste more time trying to fix it.

I can make my game look like that too, at the cost of the game turning into a prehistoric slideshow.

Nah, not just me i've heard a lot of fuss about optimisation.

Sadly the people that get these issues don't stick around long enough to share their experiences like the happy players with good experiences do.

you simply try to provoke and start a war. i mean you're telling us that you've tested the game with your 0.7 hours playtime? you are telling us that every game released in the last years is early access? you are telling us that ark is as long on steam as csgo is? please simply refund the game and never come back. you'll all do us a favor i suppose

and again you are talking about optimization. don't you understand what early access means? it's not time yet for optimization. that happens in beta..

I'm not provoking anything, i'm just not planning on putting this ♥♥♥♥ together like i bought a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ DIY starter pack for getting the game to work.

Oh you don't get it do you? Optimisation is usually done in later stages, yes.
However, when the performance is so bad that the entire game falls flat, it kind of ranks up on the priority list.

The cs:go thing was a metaphor, not a super serious statement you all had to go check and go full sperger about. You know what i mean; game's been around for a long time and it's absolute trash.


I do wish i could refund it, would help me from the cancerous community as well.

you mean the community that tries to understand what your issue with the game is? seriously a gtx960 easily hits very decent fps on high graphics. check this thread. there is a screenshot of someone with a gtx960. high or better settings, over 30fps while riding a dinosaur. only because you aren't able to press start on a game and literally tell us what bothers you there is no help for you. are you perhaps talking about motion blur? have you messed around with resolution scale? we don't know since you can't even provide us a screenshot. for normal users with your hardware the game is literally plug&play.. install and start it, join a server, be happy
