Wear full ghillie and active bug spray on you. Also make sure some bug spray is in your tames inventory and use it there. So your tame also get the bug spray effect.
Also theres beehives outside the redwoods. Redwoods just has the most. But you can find beehives elsewhere.
Actually that's cheating.
And its extremely easy, when you know how, especially on AB,but.. you need to know how..
ARK is about facing challenges learning growing and beating the odds.
This aint Candy Crush. You need to learn,do research, profit.
just gg...
im sure you was playing SP bc you can see behive's but without queen
you can use the command to kill the dinos:
destroywilddinos
but queen bee is a DINO.... and STRUCTURE
you need to run the command
PrimalItemStructure_BeeHive_C
or
DestroyAll BeeHive_C 1
to destroy now the old beehive's
then...
you only need to destroy the hive, use fire arrows or dinos with melee like the bear
use the spyglass to check the HP on the hive
you dont even need ghilie suit, bug spray or cactus soup to tame them
but use them is really easy and safe
also dont forguet to press X to stay in the ground without move, little drones still broken and can't attack
when you destroy the behive you need to wait some minuts and run to insta-tame, even if is angry and even if you are naked
only stay near of the queen, they have a different config about the render distance and if you get far awar seems like they "dissapear" but they still in the same area, only in a short render distance and you can't see them
TIPS:
queenbees in water can't fly, they get stuck in midair forever if they fly to the water = easy tame
you can use tek helment to seethem when they are angry and when they are happy = more easy tame
seems like now you can "destroy" bee hive but ONLY IN SOME MAPS, in the past if you destroy the beehive you kill the queen bee
...sadly i dont remember wich maps...
Fjordur work
valguero kill the queen
I tamed a few queens, just to prove I could... then I just started using the domesticated bee hive structures from the s+ mod.
Now, I just harvest wild honey until I have enough to build the domesticated hives. Once I have one (and a fridge to keep the honey from spoiling), you can make more more s+ hives easily. Don't get stung while harvesting honey either. At the end of the day, there are just some aspects of ark I just don't have the time for anymore. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt and collectible photo-mug.
Fun fact if you place the beehive near water, you can open it, grab the honey, jump in the water and the bee debuff goes away. And it can be useful to have the beehive near water/ocean as a quick grab to throw onto your basil, then go and tame lipo for its mystic oil buff with it.
And that's BS sir. The cage is in the game for a reason and since day one Ark players TRAP every kind of tame for easier taming, so they won't run away when torped or get hurt by other wild animals.
