What changes can we expect from Fjordur official?
As of right now we are still in the dark about what changes will come to Fjordur except the 3 new dinos. We have no idea what will be removed from the map (such as rock drakes or shadowmanes which currently spawn on the mod map itself but it might be different on official Fjordur just to make those paid DLCS more special), we also have no idea what POI (point of interest) locations will be blocked or not from building inside them, many places that are cool looking and you might want to visit could be completely blocked off by other players building gates. Same with resource blocking/monopoly, there are many underwater caves that have loads of minerals and/or gas that can be despawned by buildings or claimed and locked down basically forcing others to trade at possibly stupid prices for some gas/oil. While most people are kind enough to leave the oil/gas pumps open for everyone, i have seen more than enough outright refusing to do so.
Personally as soon as the map releases i want to try rushing to a base location to claim it before others might but at the same time i am afraid that it might be changed into a no build area, basically screwing me over.

Not to be rude but crystal isle got massacred in offical release. They removed the crystal varient of every Dino and replaced them with normal ones. They cut Rock Drakes & magmas and left the spawns empty. They also swapt some ressource spawns and cut some floating islands if im not mistaken. Also in the Snow biome usedto be liquid dinos. They looked like water ghosts or something pretty cool.

So for FJordur i expect shadow manes, rockdrakes, Deinos & that Gatling Bird to be cut they're DLC dinos. I dont think all the custom skins will stay. Im not sure about the exclusive thunder wyvern cave.
POIs like Helms Deep will surely be redone as they're waaaay to op in PvP

Hmmmmm yeah, i suppose you are right, i forgot they balance maps purely for pvp and they give no ♥♥♥♥ about pve. That being said, at least i know that i can rule out some locations scouted on single player. Such as helms deep and the "dwarven forge" or whatever you wanna call it. I honestly don't get why they bother cutting dinos, it's not the dinos people pay for, it's usually the map. Like you can get dinos without having the DLC's by just trading with other players.

When Valguero was adopted as a DLC, it too was stripped of a lot of content only available in other DLCs, such as the mini-Aberration cave, which included rock drakes, and other dinos usually only found on Aberration, as well as removed the element pool. They also removed some content from Extinction, such as snow owls, managarmrs and velonasaurs. They even removed griffins, which you can obtain from the free DLC Ragnarok.

The original makers of Valguero made two mods that restore those things shortly after Valguero was made an Ark free DLC. Which when I last played it (a few months ago), those mods are still active.

So I assume that the other map makers could do the same, if they wished. That's certainly a factor to consider when deciding to play a new free DLC.

Ya the Creator of Crystal Isles also has a mod collection. Seems like the only rights he still has r those to the mods.

I personally think cutting stuff without replacing it is just lazy and kinda a hit in the face for the person who spend hours creating those locations & filling them with unique creatures.
Sure Wildcard bought those maps and can do whatever they want with it but still.
If they cut shadowmanes & rockdrakes from asgard it becomes totally useless.
