Aberration lighting glitch

Me and my friend just completed scorched earth and were moving to aberration( we planned on beating all story maps). I go into aberration on singleplayer before he gets on and the lighting is perfectly fine, however, when I host non dedicated without him even being in the game everything is dark. Not black screen, but parts of the map where there are shadows or generally dark lighting are just pitch black. the portal room alone just looks creepy. Any ideas on how to fix this?

1. Non dedicated game play can be issue prone. Most recommend to convert play to a dedicated server iteration but just running only when you wish to play it with friends etc.

2. We do not know your steam detected system info, your use of mods or not and other potential variables that can contributing factors either alone or in recipe with each other. Aberration is a graphic intensive map and yes there's lots of dark and creepy places.

3. You've not provided a screen shot to determine whether its a normal settings look or with discrepancies. Remember you went from the brightest map to essentially the darkest map by contrast and it may just be a perception point too(yes I acknowledge you went in "before" on the map with your friend but that may not actually be of meaningful differentiation.
