Missing executable

I played 2 days ago. I went to start the game tonight and got an error message. "An error occurred while updating ARK: Survival Evolved (missing executable):"
Any ideas?

Ya'll on a GNU/Linux OS? It happened this afternoon sometime. to me. I played at about 9 am MDT, and tried to launch to play with a buddy, but all the game folders are empty and the download is now about 3 MB and no files to install. When I check integrity of game files it says "All 0 files verified successfully"

Yeah, same. I found a map (dlc) that was not in my library. When I downloaded it appears to have began installing the entire game.
EDIT: This did indeed re-install shootergame executable file. Playing now.

Yeah I was playing about 2 hours ago and now it won't work for me

I've tried literally everything (reinstalling the game 3-4 times, reinstalling steam several times, clearing cache, restarting comp...), is there any way to get help with this stuff????

Been getting this error since the update on Jul 5. I played just the night before.

Yeah, wiped me and my nephew's files too. My ISP's going to be fussing at me about bandwidth usage again whenever they sort this out.
Should say I'm on Linux as well.

Me as well, cannot find Ark Executable .. On Steam/Play Ubuntu 22.04 I played it less than 8 hours before, Tried installing Windows Version, it runs but at lower settings, got it re-installed & working by removing a MOD or 2, Played a bit, had a sleep, reboot, NOW IT IS NOT THERE !!!! Reinstalled, but Download was only 1.2gb, instead of 7?gb before, still it do not work, TODAY !!

I also can confirm it, with linux the last update broke the game, no matter if i boot into ubuntu or debian stable.. congrats on breaking the game, developers! :(

Same thing for me, I just finished the installation and "Missing executable" error message at startup !!!
My linux is an Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS

I noticed a Beta option for "linuxnative". No idea how old it might be, but I'm downloading it, now, since trying to use the mainline "None" Beta branch is giving me the "No executable" error, as well, on my Ubuntu Linux box. I played this last night, less than 24 hours ago. Something updated and removed stuff.

Same here. Back up your Saved folder, immediately! It nuked my cloud save trying to resolve this, but I have a backup thankfully. The game installed size is 24MB for me now, I think they broke something.

Same for me. I reinstalled the game and still don't execute
