1. Use admin commands to port you.
2. Use mods like awesome teleporters.
3. Tek tier in game has teleporters too.
A single player has to reach the bottom of the red zone, where the game can easily crash. Where many dinos are weak to radiation (Theres no radiation in the abberation boss fight btw). And a multi-player person can just teleport to the boss fight in the green zone via supply drop.
Meaning, no radiation suits, no long journey, no headache of feeding every dino mushroom stew until you have all 20 out. Then after the fight dealing with radiation hitting them again. Which may kill the tames as post boss fight hp may be low.
Also single players are stuck in abberation until they get strong enough to reach an obelisk.
Teleporting to specific biomes on the island at least isn't that big a deal, since the 3 obelisks are in different biomes. Grass land, river, tundra. You can base next to the green obelisk, the red obelisk, then have a tundra base near the shoreline (You don't want to build next to the blue as it has many resource spawns). Then you can upload your gear to the obelisk and your tames whenever you want to warp.
Not an option with abberation. As the red zone radition will kill you without a suit. And the surface will kill you if its not night, or the enemies.

I just confirmed it does work on my Single Player. Just hold "R" and a popup appears.
