Need help taming a Yutyrannus
It’s not the actual Yuty that’s the problem, it’s the carnos that’re the problem. How do I kill them as easily and safely as possible?

First off build a taming cage out of Stone pillars. Next trap your Yuty in it. Now that is done just get the carno to run off a cliff somewhere. Note use a bird for all of this argy works really well.
Alternate try to get the carno only to run off the cliff before trapping your Yuty. This could be really difficult but if you are careful it is doable. If you have a friend to help even better you can divide and conquer the task.

Don't listen to trap-plebs, kiting is the way. Just snipe those carnos with a half-decent longneck. They're weak anyway.

Listen to the "trap klebs".

Two major reasons,

when it's get about halfway to 2/3rds knocked out, it's going to turn and start running away. Unless you want to chase it as it runs around like a headless chicken, leading you into whole groups of hostile dino's, You WANT to trap it first inside walls, so it can run around like that. I use either behemoth gates, or dinosaur gates to build a box around them. You can use a flier to lure them through the gates, then add a gate to close it in.

Secondly, is when it collapses, your gates will keep random hostile dinos from running up and attacking it while it's knocked out, and destroying the taming effectiveness. When they collapse and body parts stick out past the gates, I add more dinosaur gates around those body parts to protect it. Taming effectiveness being kept as high as possible is the whole point. Otherwise you're just throwing away bonus levels.

Keep in mind that there are some dinos that are immune to Yuty's fear roar (Rexes for one), so you can use rexes to lure the Yuty to a trap, or if it happens to be distracted, kill the carnos. Yuty does run around very fast and can be hard to KO, so trapping it is a very good idea, carno problems or not.
