I think NO recipie should require more resources than can actually fit in a smithy/fabricator, and the lower tiers should scale down from that.
(And FFS devs, NO that does not mean increase the space in the crafting stations. Your grind is killing official servers)
So riot isn't even good right now, without tek teir.

A grossly disproportionate grind does not equal challenging exciting gameplay, or "difficulty" per se.
Some while back they started balancing items to cost MASSIVELY more resources to craft. In the case of items like the industrial forge, industrial cooker, etc. I believe this was intended to make them difficult to acquire without a team effort from a tribe. I'm fine with that. But when they started applying the same resource cost scaling to individual gear items... that is not good game balance. Being in a tribe or not does nothing to diminish individual gear costs, because the more people in a tribe, the more of those items you need.
