Jack Hammer/Mining Drill
Just made a chain in Scorched Earth a few days ago and I gotta say I'm loving it! Sure I cranked my harvest up to 5, but the point is still made. I'm gathering more wood than a thorny dragon, more cactus sap than a morella (haven't got a wyvern or mantis yet so bear with me). The durability might need some looking at, but the fuel system is still pretty damn good for what I get. I only need a work horse to carry the stuff.

The chainsaw brings so much more.

Just more of everything...that is organic material.

I'm happy to have the chain, really. But, as there is a pick for one thing there is a hatchet. Where there's the anky, there's also the doed. The dire wolf and the sabertooth.

Basically, I love being able to gather an abundance of organic resources when butchering plant and wildlife.

Can we get a tool that gives us an abundance of mineral resources as well.

As the title says, a Jack Hammer or holdable Mining Drill would be nice.

Sounds great, I was thinking the same when I first got the saw :)
Jack Hammer: Stone, Flint, and Sulfer
Mining Drill: Iron, obsidian, and crystals.

Proctodon is a nice agile, quick, weight carrier for resource gathering. I love my Roo, low stam usage and almost 2500 in weight. I duo combo with Mantis for resources.

If ouy're on a cluster server get to the island and collect mushrooms from beaver dams. If not, NorthEast of Red Ob there oisa crystal cave for mushrooms too.

And oil.

Though, while I understand that one should be able to choose which minerals they get (stone comes with every rock) I don't think there should be two separate mineral gatherers.

Perhaps, if you'll indulge, a coating or cap for the drill. Without it, the thing only gathers stone, flint, sulfur, and sand-the basics upon basics. With, it can get the special and rare res.
