Hibernation parameter?
just a quick question, are you using any mod like Speedy Flyer or Classic Flyer ?
These work in my single player, no need for gmsummon or cheat:
SpawnDino "Blueprint'/game/PrimalEarth/Dinos/Quetzalcoatlus/BionicQuetz_Character_BP.BionicQuetz_Character_BP'" 1 1 1 150
SpawnDino "Blueprint'/game/PrimalEarth/Dinos/Quetzalcoatlus/Quetz_Character_BP.Quetz_Character_BP'" 1 1 1 150
Except using any console command -IS- cheating. Which takes the entire skill/point away from single player. If you're doing that, what's the point in even playing?
For enjoyment?
Cheating for one person isn't cheating for another when it comes to single-player. It's my game and I can use whatever commands I want in a world that is only for me, myself, and I. If I want to use gamma commands, I will. If I want to spawn in a level 150 rex after three hours of only finding level 40s then I will. If I am not enjoying the game and a console command can fix that you bet I am going to use a command the devs programmed into the game.
If I want to build a gaint castle just for fun there is no way I am wasting up to a week in time to farm digital objects to build a digital castle. Or I can take the simple approach and spawn in the materials and get five hours of enjoyment. A week of grinding and getting frustrated, or five hours of enjoyment? There is no comparison.
And if the game is broken it's not even cheating to spawn something in that can't be there otherwise. What do you think mods are? Some weird form of cheating?
There also isn't any skill in single-player except in boss fights. Things just take longer in single-player, but you don't need any extra 'skill' to complete things.
There's a reason some people like single-player. It's because they are in control instead of giving that power over to a server admin. If you don't like something then just change it. That's what makes single-player great.
Spawning a wild creature to tame isn't different than changing setting to make the tek creatures more abundant or using simple spawners mod to make them spawn in New locations.
Ark is designed for customization, that's why it's so popular.
since tek quetz's have a 5% chance to spawn in place of a standard one, its gonna take a while
How would you characterize modding a MP server to remove /disable dinos with disabling attacks, like the server you are advertising?
Why even play when you remove base game mechanics to make the game easier?
Isn’t that cheating ?
There's a big difference in using console commands to add/spawn things to the game and customizing a server to our preferences. I don't use admin commands to "cheat" on my server, I don't spawn anything, I don't add items, I don't abuse anything. I even play on my own on the server "legitimately" with no console commands daily with other people that play on there with me. I don't need console commands / cheat-spawning dinos to have fun with ark. We haven't seen a Tek Quetzal yet on our server and we've been looking. Lots of Quetz, no tek ones. We'll find one on our own when ever it decides to spawn in-game.
As I have been saying. It not that hard to change the ini file to make Quetz spawn in a different spawn and therefore not be limited number. Or with the simple spawner mod in-game.
How exactly are these two options any different than in SP mode just directly spawning a wild creature?
Just because you choose not to use admin commands, why are you trying to push your views on everyone else? Seems a bit ridiculous.
One causes them to spawn naturally (even if more frequently), and requires actually hunting, searching, trying to find them on your own, you know.. normal game play. The other uses the actual /cheat codes/ to /cheat/ and just spawn it in front of you with no effort involved. I think you're a little confused if you can't understand the difference.
And no we never touched the ini files to influence any wild dino spawn rates, quetz or otherwise... I've never touched any ini files since 2015 anyway, we server owners all use ark server manager in this day and age. But that's kinda off topic.
